High-end Applecross homes sit longest on market REVIEWS

APPLECROSS homes are among the slowest to sell in the State, new data reveals. The riverside properties take longer to sell than any other Perth suburb and are often heavily discounted in a bid to entice buyers, according to figures by real estate experts RP Data. On average, it takes 138 days to sell a home in Applecross. In addition to the lengthy wait, residents are slashing their prices by up to 13.7 per cent from the original asking price. Given the median price in Applecross is $1.6 million, that equates to a discount of about $200,000. Homes in Victoria Park, Yokine and Hamilton Hill are also among the slowest selling. The data also shows that homes in more affordable suburbs, including Warwick, Padbury and Lockridge, sell more quickly. They take on average 39-45 days and the discount is about $20,000. Janey Sanderson, of Paxton Hoad, said
