Plan for 300 homes TERRANOVIS has proposed to construct a 300-plus home estate called Ocean Crest that will border Coogee and Spearwood. The project managing company has lodged a local structure plan with Cockburn City Council, in line with Packham North district structure plan, which created a development guide for lots covering an area of 79ha. Ocean Crest will take up more than 22ha. Construction is scheduled for later in the year if the plan is adopted. Terranovis director Victor Marcelino said it had taken considerable expertise to bring the development together. “We have been working on this project for a number of years, so it is gratifying to see everything coming together for the respective landowners,” he said. The plan consists of low and medium density residential lots, with a street network in a modified grid design. The low density lots are designed to accommodate larger family homes, while the medium density lots will feature townhouses and smaller dwellings. Mr Marcelino said that the estate design was environmentally sensitive. The company expects to begin selling lots in Ocean Crest mid this year. Plans are available to view on the City of Cockburn’s web site, www.cockburn.wa.gov.au. The City will accept comments on the plan over the coming weeks. ■
