Q: What is a 48-hour clause and when is it used? A: A 48-hour clause is a clause stating that, although an offer has been accepted, the seller retains the right to continue marketing the property. If another offer is received that the seller wishes to accept, the original buyer is then given 48 hours to make their offer unconditional. This is usually used when offers are made subject to the sale of another property.

Originally opened on Nicholson Road in 2004 by Kerri Sharp, the beautiful and fashionably feminine store has popped around the corner in a flourish of classic elegance. With striking white décor and a dream-like appeal, the new shop floor is a lot more spacious and still has that enticing floral scent. Kerri originally named her store after a slip of the tongue while discussing chandeliers and candelabras with a friend. Since then she has immersed herself in her home décor passion with this latest transformation arriving at the perfect time. “I just thought it was at the point for a change and needed a new space,” Kerri said.
“The new store is so much bigger and I feel that, in a way, it’s grown up a little bit with the move. I’ve got everything needed to make a home look beautiful in a gorgeous French style look.” Of course, with more space comes the opportunity for a larger range of products available, including jewellery and different styles of chandeliers, with some now in black. There is also a selection of antique white furniture, bedding, mirrors, prints, French glassware, candles, soaps, floral jugs and vases, French lingerie, lamps, flowers and childrenswear. “The criteria are that it has to be beautiful, it has to be different and it has to be affordable,” Kerri said. “I’m also still providing the giftwrapping service although now I have some lovely pink and white striped paper to match the façade.” Another service that is new to Chandelabra is Kerri’s home styling. “I’ve always tried to help people with styling when they visit the shop but now I’ve introduced a service where I’ll go out to their home and help them put it all together,” she
