FREE POST & PACKING ON ALL ORDERS OVER €75! Time to Plant
Autumn to Spring is the most important time in the gardener’s calendar. Older gardeners know the wisdom of planting this time of year. Trees and bushes are fully dormant usually from November straight through to mid-April, which gives them time to settle in nicely without too much stress, making it the perfect time to plant. By planting now, you are planting in the cooler time of the year, and you get root growth that will be ready to take up water and nutrients when our spring temperatures increase. When leaves unfurl and expand, the increased roots are better able to access food and nutrients, and the stress of transplanting is drastically reduced. We work with the finest nurseries to bring you the latest plant editions as well as some very rare hard to find older varieties. A lot of the range is exclusive to Mr Middleton and many are only available in small quantities so early ordering is advised. As a small Irish family owned business we are committed to ensuring your order receives the very best of our personal attention backed by over 40 years’ experience as Ireland’s top mail order supplier. We guarantee everything we sell so you can buy with confidence and enjoy great plants in your garden. Thank you for your continued support.

HARDY WATER LILIES
Hardy water lilies are the most beautiful and popular pond plants you can have in your pond for good reason. They will thrive with little care, being a perennial they come back year after year larger and more beautiful than the year before. They provide shade and natural shelter for your fish. They also use up extra waste and nutrition in your pond as a food source. Because water lilies are a higher plant form than algae the algae in your pond gets starved off keeping your pond cleaner. They are a tasty and addictive addition to the garden. In autumn, the bushes turn to a blazing crimson, and in the spring, they are covered in masses of sweetscented flowers. Blueberry bushes are heavy
croppers and can be picked several times during the summer. They are easy to grow, and if you have not got a suitable site in your garden, blueberries make an excellent choice for a patio tub. One bush is capable of producing 6lbs of berries when mature. Planting two bushes in the same garden will increase the yield.
BLUEBERRY SUNSHINE BLUE The ultimate blueberry – a truly exceptional variety!
This outstanding early/mid season evergreen variety has a compact, branching habit. Unlike ordinary blueberries, it produces hot pink flowers which fade to white in spring, followed by heavy crops of delicious tangy berries for up to nine weeks in the summer. It’s also self-pollinating and more tolerant of higher pH soils than other blueberries! If you only have room for one blueberry, this has to be the one!
These are the most popular cooking apple of all time. Bramley’s Seedling – nowadays just known as the Bramley Apple tree – produces great big, flat bottomed apples with plenty of colour, usually boasting an orange-russet flush over their greenish yellow skin, with wide strokes of red completing the picture. Few other cookers bake so easily into the deliciously light, fluffy, syrup infused puree that is the ideal cooked apple – the flavour is mouth wateringly tangy and fruity and the texture is simply perfect. These apples are ready to pick in early October and store very well, well into the following spring if they are kept nice and cool. Raised in Nottinghamshire in 1809 by Mary Ann Brailsford, and the RHS awarded it a first class certificate in 1893. Bramley’s are triploids: their pollen is totally infertile, so they require another apple tree to pollinate them and are not capable of pollinating other trees. Minimum of three trees if they are all to be pollinated.
