The Boston tea Party is something we will not forget. The British will pay the debt. It was a really big event. This was the start of something great!
The Boston Tea party was a very important protest by colonists in Revolutionary times. It occured december, 1773. The colonists were mad at Britain for raising taxes, and making unfair laws. This happened in Griffin’s Wharf in Boston, Massachusetts. They dumped approximately 342 chests of British tea in the harbor, this made Britain lose a lot of money. This was one of the first major acts of defense against Britain. Britain soon learned that the American colonists would not just sit there and take this tyranny! This soon encouraged the 13 colonies to fight the British for freedom, and independence. For years the colonies have been being taxed without their voices being heard. Ever since the 1760’s when they won the French and Indian war. It was ok ever since then but they but taxes upon taxes after that. The British thought taxes were fair, the colonists disagreed strongly. The intensity increased since the Boston Tea Party, until it was full blown war!
