Stinky Skunk and Cleanly Cat By Mrs. Rice and Mrs. Cordova

It was a warm summer night in Platte City. Cleanly Cat finished licking her furry paws clean when a sudden surge of loneliness hit. Being proactive Cleanly Cat messaged Stinky Skunk on her Dell computer, inviting Stinky Skunk over for an exciting sleep over.

As soon as Stinky Skunk arrived, she threw her overnight bag down on the garage floor and rushed out the door to play with cleanly Cat. The first game the two girls played was tag‌and man were they sweaty! Then, the two friends jumped on the trampoline, playing games like crack the egg. Finally, the hot sweaty girls dug in the flower garden where the dirt clung to them like glue.

Just as Stinky Skunk and Cleanly Cat were finishing in the dirt, hot, delicious pizza arrived. The girls darted into the garage where they washed their paws. Cleanly Cat’s nose started to twitch at an obnoxious odor. Worried the stench was coming from her, Cleanly Cat quickly cleaned her whole body. She even applied deodorant for good measure making sure she smelled as sweet as a flower. But the smell was still there.

Cleanly Cat followed her nose to …Stinky Skunk, who was digging into the pizza while noxious fumes rose from her body. Ever so politely, Cleanly Cat said, “Stinky, I can still smell you. Would you like to use my shower to freshen up?” Stinky said, “No, I am just going to keep eating.” Stinky Skunk and Cleanly Cat then argued about Stinky Skunk’s need of a shower.

Finally, the smell had overcome the entire garage and Cleanly Cat was too nauseous to take anymore. Cleanly Cat called Mrs. Rice and demanded she pick Stinky Skunk up. Furious, Mrs. Rice picked Stinky Skunk up and took her home. Cleanly Cat freshened up her garage thinking

Smelly Skunk replied in a high squeaky voice, “I’d love to!”

Ferocious Fox said in reply, “Great!!!”

The next day, Smelly Skunk awoke from his den and snuck into Ferocious Fox’s damp cave. “Huh! You’re early!” said Ferocious Fox.

“Why don’t you make yourself at home while I get the pot ready?” Ferocious Fox looked at the pot. “Those are some nice looking birds,” said Ferocious Fox.
