SUNFLOWER'S LIFE CYCLE
STAGE ONE: SEED
In order to grow must to germinate.Plants always got to start with seed.To sprout they need enough germinate is what happens to a sunlight and water. seed that has been dormant Sunflower gets bee (asleep) and with enough to move pollen from sunlight, and water, and warmthon one flower to another by making nectar and a sweet liquid that bee use to feed their young and to make honey. As bee collect nectar, they get yellow pollen grains on their bodies. The bees fly from sunflower to sunflower so adult can make seeds. 1

STAGE TWO: ROOT Once germinate a root develops and grows down into soil.Roots are like straws and absords the water and nutrients a plant needs the ground to have nutrients. It softens the seed to brust open a seed then roots start to grow. The sprout come out of the ground.Only disk flower have ovaries and can produce sunflower achenes. achenes= Dry one seeded fruit or flower
ovary=The female or girl part of a flower which grows up to became a fruit
STAGE 3: SPROUT You will know your seed has sprouted when you can see a little green pushing up through the soil.Rainwater wets the ground so they can drink the water. Then they grow a baby sunflower with roots, stem, and little green leaves. This disk begins to darken and the head becomes heavy with the growing achenes. 3
Stage 4: Growing Plant Bud: a flower that is going to bloom
The sprout will grow into plant or baby plant. It starts with leaves, then grows new ones (true leaves) that look different to others. The plant stem has grown wider and taller and more leaves grown. The sunflower bud has started to develop and open up and the plant is beginning to mature.
4
Stage 5: Adult Adult plants and making seeds. After the growing plant flower will start to grow bigger leaves and stem.Bees collect pollen then then move to sun flower to sunflower to make seed. Then plant die.At the same time tons and tons of seed fall down to ground. Then everything starts all again.

How Do Sunflowers Survive They survive by making tons and tons of seed so if some couldn't grow, but it is okay. To grow they need enough sunlight, soil, and raindrops. Rooting mediums, such as soil, sand and peat moss, help a plant stem, leaf or rooting cutting to grow roots. 6
