Life Cycle Of A Sunflower
BY ANGUS, FAINA, LAUREN AND ROBERT
LIFE CYCLE OF A SUNFLOWER STAGE 1: SEED The first stage of a sunflower is the seed. The seed always starts out as a tiny seed. The best time to plant a sunflower is in the spring. It takes a long time for sunflowers to grow. Sunflowers need a lot of plant care like water, sunlight, air and, soil.
4
LIFE CYCLE OF A SUNFLOWER STAGE 2: SPROUT After the seed is planted a couple weeks later it sprouts. For a sprout to grow, a sunflower needs air, water, sun and soil. After the seed has sprouted all the way it becomes a sunflower. Rain wets the ground for the sprout to grow. 5
LIFE CYCLE OF A SUNFLOWER STAGE 3: SUNFLOWER The next stage in the sunflower life cycle is a sunflower. A sunflower bud takes 2 months to be in full bloom. In the fall the sunflower dies and the seeds drop into the dirt. In the spring the sunflowers seeds make new sunflowers.
6
LIFE CYCLE OF A SUNFLOWER STAGE 4 : SEED DROP The next stage in the sunflower life cycle is seed drop. In the fall the sunflower dies. In the spring a new sunflower comes to life from the seed that drop from the fall sunflower.
7
How Does a Sunflower Survive? Sunflowers need air, rain, sun, and soil to survive. When sunflowers don't survive, they "pass away" in the fall but are "reborn" in the spring. Seeds also drop to make new sunflowers in the fall.
8
How Do Sunflowers Reproduce? What does reproduce mean? Reproduce means when sunflowers drop a seed and make a new sunflower. Sunflowers attract insects such as bees. The "showy" ray petals help attract the pollinators. Bees get pollen from one sunflower and spread it from one sunflower to another. 9
Fun F acts
Sunflowers can live up to 80 to 120 days. It can grow up to 3 ft tall. Tall right? At first it dosen't have to many leaves. Like all flowers they slowly move toward the sun. It can brighten you up in my opinion.

How Do Ladybugs Survive
Ladybugs survive in many, different ways. First, ladybugs hibernate in groups. Hibernate means to sleep underground or indoors for a long period of time. Ladybugs hibernate under leaves and rocks.
15
How Do Ladybugs Survive Ladybuds eat aphids. An aphid is another name for a small insect. They also eat pollen and eggshells.

HOW A LADYBUG REPRODUCES FEMALE LADYBUGS LAY THEIR EGGS ON THE UNDERSIDE OF A LEAF SO THAT FLYING PREDATORS CAN'T SEE THE LADYBUG'S EGGS. IF YOU TOUCH A LADYBUG EGG, THE LADYBUG INSIDE WILL DIE. IT IS REALLY SENSITIVE! THE FEMALE LADYBUG PUSHES OUT THE EGGS. LADYBUGS COME IN DIFFERENT COLORS.

FROG LIFE CYCLE

BY LINDSEY PARK LEO KIM GABE VINSON ANDI CAMI
FIRST STAGE: EGG The first stage of a frog's life cycle is the egg. Frog eggs hatch after 2 weeks. Some frogs lay 4,000 eggs.
29
SECOND STAGE: TADPOLE The second stage of a frogs life cycle is a tadpole. Tadpoles can't leave water. Tadpoles have gills. Tadpoles grow as their lungs grow.
30
THIRD STAGE: ADULT Frogs breath through there skin. After 4 months tadpoles hatch and become a froglet and frog. Frogs eat insects to live.
31
How Do They Survive? Frogs camouflage themselves so predators
don't know where they are. They do this because if they knew where they were they would be eaten. Frogs eat insects and butterflies to survive so they don't starve. Plus they use there skin to breath under water.
32
HOW DO FROGS REPRODUCE Female frogs lay eggs. The egg turns into a tadpole. A tadpole turns into a froglet. The froglet turns in to an adult frog. A female frog can lay 2,000 eggs in its lifetime. A female frog lays 4,000 eggs at at a time. A frog lays their egg on a leave or in water.

Next, how do chicks take care of their own? Chickens lay on their babies to keep them warm. A baby chick moves around by following their mother. When the chick grows up they start to learn how to make a sound when they are lost. When they are fully grown, they walk and move without their mother's help. 37
HOW A CHICKEN REPRODUCES A chicken lays 1 or 2 eggs a day. An egg hatches after 2 weeks. Then fertilization happens. An embryo starts to grow in the egg.. If the egg has not been fertilized, the egg can be eaten for breakfast! Fertilization means a hen gets a baby.

WHAT LIFE CYCLES HAVE IN COMMON
Plants and animals have different life cycles, but they have many stages in common, too. Here is a quick list of how all living things are similar to one another:
OFFSPRING NEWBORNS, EGGS, AND SEEDS! All living things, like plants and animals, start somewhere. In science, when a living thing is born, it is called an offspring. A sunflower starts out as a seed, while a chick begins life as an egg. It's all offspring!
THE END ....OF THE LIFE CYCLE! Eventually all animals and plants grow old and pass away. This is the end of their life cycle. It is something all living things go through and is very natural.
CHANGES LIVING THINGS GO THROUGH CHANGES! All living things go through stages of a life cycle. All life cycles go through many changes as they grow and develop.
