We wanted to stop fighting wars oversea and worrying about money and getting peace for everybody in the world and putting an end to all those false economic statements as well as being able to steady down. Harding was aiming to make business better and he did that by Cutting taxes for that wealthy

Harding was a republican president from ohio his campaign slogan was “America needed to be returned to normal but he also wanted a pro-business government and laissez-faire government as well. After he had died people found out that he was really corrupt.njm

Have the Republican Era Presidents of the 1920s been effective? Who were the presidents of the 1920s? Harding, Coolidge, and Hoover, all Republicans. How effective have they been serving our country? Were Republican business and immigration strategies effective? While some things are working, there is room for improvement. Why was the workforce failing? The workforce is in disarray. The people are striking on jobs for better pay. There were strikes on restrained trades. The people in the strikes fought against Union demands. They would want better working conditions they would want to have better pay.

After all the strikes, taxes were only cut for the wealthy which is making people even more angrier. Federal spending has been cut to reduce national debt now. What were the Republican presidents views? The Republicans had a different variety of views. Some sponsored world disarmament but others supported war. Where did the Republicans work succeed? They worked to create a more militaristic foreign policy. They also tried gain peace with Germany.

Another Example, the Government is arresting 1,000s. The Government is raiding radicals headquarters and arrest 1,000s. They sometimes even go into private homes and would arrest them then would march them through public streets.

Have businesses making their own rules benefited america? During the 20th century, presidents adopted the Laissez Faire Pro business climate to support economic growth. The economic growth for the U.S. was up at 86 billion to a high $98.2 billion dollars. There was a new low unemployment The Laissez Faire policy was made to allow businesses to decide what they wanted to do with the business without the government intervening. President Warren G Harding thought It would be a good idea to allow businesses to make their own rules. Without the government to be able to intervene. He initially thought that it would be a good idea but he later found that it wasn’t. It wasn’t a good idea because it allowed businesses to take control of the pay of workers which made them less likely to be able to pay for their families. It also was bad because the businesses that had control over money never evenly distributed it and would usually give to higher ups.

The workers of factories would go on strike to get better pay. It would eventually lead to unemployment and lower pay.

Is War Over? Have the Foreign Policy Goals of the Republican Presidents Made America Safer, and is War Over? Republican Presidents weren’t focused on foreign policy that much at the time. Foreign policy was kind of quiet at the time, because the nation had been at peace. Before the war, there had been three Republican presidents elected. All three Republicans were mainly focused on economic growth. After World War 1, Republicans started getting a different variety of views on war. Some Republicans didn’t want World War 1 and wanted world disarmament, but others supported World War 1 and thought it was right for us to be involved. After the war though, Republicans believed that we should create a militarist foreign policy.

A problem that occurred though was Germany becoming a major world power. This brought up a couple of foreign policy issues. The Samoan Islands were a small area that both countries wanted. Because of these islands they both built large navies. Then, Germany ended up sinking the Lusitania which was a British passenger ship with Americans on it. This act made many Americans see Germany as an aggressor and their trust started to shrink. Finally when war was about to start again, London intercepted the Zimmerman telegram which was a note to Mexico saying that if they helped Germany in the war Mexico would gain their land back from America.

Communist or not? Have Republican presidents gone too far to combat the Red Scare? Have you ever believed in something that you think is right and just? So did Americans and they would be arrested or they might even of been killed for their beliefs. People would be treated unfairly if they were suspected to be communist. The people of the United States would be treated unfairly and with no care if they were suspected to be communist. Police would go into private homes or Union Halls to arrest suspected communists. Police would chain and handcuff people and march them through streets.

These men in this picture died on August 23, 1927. The men in the picture are Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti. They were two Italian immigrants that wanted to start a new life, instead they were going to get accused of murder. The men were executed for, many to believe, that it was not because of murder, but by their belief. There was another event that happened just two weeks before August 23. Iit was the biggest arrest so far by the police.

There were 4000 suspected radicals seized nationwide. There were over 800 arrested in New England and many more by Boston. The government feared recent immigrants and dissidents were communists.
