See you around campus <3 –

We have so many events planned for this school year, and I can ' t wait to see what it holds for all of us. I'm looking forward to sharing our club's events in future newsletters!

Hi Key Clubbers!

Key Club has been such an incredible part of my high school career, teaching me many things I value to this day, and building my teamwork, leadership, and confidence. I can ' t express how grateful I am to this club for shaping me into the person I am today, and I hope you all will be able to experience your own journey through Key Club.

a note from your editor

I’m beyond excited to be able to meet and greet our new and returning members for the 2022-2023 school year, and I hope that you all will be able to create the same wonderful experiences and memories along your personal journeys in Key Club. From service events to bondings and movie nights, our club truly has it all, and I hope to see you all around at our upcoming events or even just around campus this year :))

a note from your president

My name is Ariel Kim and I’m currently the President of MSJ Key Club. A fun fact about me is that although my name is Ariel, I actually don’t know how to swim

I started my journey as a freshman, merely looking for a way to fulfill my service requirement for high school. Little did I know how much Key Club would do for me — from strengthening my communication and public speaking skills, creating lifelong friendships and memories, and learning how to make an impact in the community around me, I’ll forever be grateful for my choice of walking into MSJ Key Club’s first general meeting three years ago.

gong cha fundraiser

On July 22nd, MSJ Key Club held a Gong Cha fundraiser in collaboration with AHS, IHS, and MHS. The funds for this event goes to PTP, an organization that helps children with traumatic injuries. With the variety of drinks to choose from and the warm weather, grabbing something for a good cause was very fulfilling! Thank you to everyone that came out to our fundraiser! fremont festival of thearts

On August 5th to 7th, MSJ Key Club held the Fremont Festival of the Arts Service Event, in collaboration with BIF and WHS. Volunteers were stationed across different rides and attractions, with the purpose of helping young kids enjoy their time. Volunteers were able to experience the live music and carnival while raising money for PTP. Overall, it was a very successful event!

maze day

On August 10-11th, Mission San Jose held its annual MAZE Day, in which all the school clubs set up booths and enthusiastically introduced their clubs to new students. MSJ Key Club was located at Booth 54, where officers put up vibrant posters showing club information, fun cardboard cutouts, club merchandise, and other decorations such as streamers and even a bubble machine. In the long aisle of different booths and tables, it was clear that Key Club’s was the most spirited and colorful. In addition, ice-cold otter pops were distributed to those who signed up for our mailing list. At the end of the twoday marathon of introducing our club to others, we ended up getting over 200 sign-ups on our mailing list, an astonishing improvement from last year. Overall, MSJ Key Club’s MAZE Day event was extremely successful, and our booth definitely left an impression on newcomers!
