MSUB baseball junior Adam Cox earns CoSIDA Academic All-District honors for the second straight season announced Thursday. BILLINGS, Mont. – For the second straight season, Montana State University Billings baseball junior Adam Cox has been named a College Sports Information Directors Association Academic All-District selection announced the organization Thursday. Cox has a 3.71 grade point average while studying criminal justice, and is batting .284 this year with two home runs and 16 RBIs primarily as a first baseman and designated hitter in MSUB’s lineup. “We are proud of what Adam has accomplished on and off the field,” commented MSUB head coach Aaron Sutton. “He is a tremendous student-athlete who has great relationships with his coaches, teammates, and faculty members.” Cox repeated as an academic all-district selection, after earning academic all-Great Northwest Athletic Conference honors this season as well. Cox has nine doubles this spring, and carries a .393 on-base percentage in 88 at-bats. He is a career .340 hitter at MSUB, with 11 home runs and 63 RBIs in just two seasons as a hitter.
