MSUB’s four-game series at GNAC opponent Western Oregon, originally scheduled for Friday and Saturday, has been pushed back one day due to rain in Monmouth, Ore. MONMOUTH, Ore. – A four-game Great Northwest Athletic Conference baseball series between visiting Montana State University Billings and Western Oregon University has been pushed back to Saturday and Sunday due to rain preventing play from commencing on Friday. The series was originally scheduled to be played with doubleheaders on Friday and Saturday. The series will now be played with a 9-inning/7-inning doubleheader starting at 2 p.m. Mountain time on Saturday, and a 9-inning/7-inning doubleheader starting at noon Mountain time on Sunday. Live video and statistics will be available for all four games through MSUB’s Stretch Internet portal here. After defeating Western Oregon 4-3 on Wednesday, the Yellowjackets are now 22-17 overall and 16-14 in GNAC play. Western Oregon is 25-17 overall and 20-12 in conference play, and is in second place. The ‘Jackets are now just two games back of third-place Central Washington in the win column. The top-three teams in the regular-season standings advance to the 2016 GNAC Championships, hosted by the regular-season champion.
