Recognizing the top-performing students among MSUB’s athletic teams, 26 student-athletes are honored at the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society during a ceremony on Tuesday. BILLINGS, Mont. – A total of 26 student-athletes from 12 different Montana State University Billings athletic teams were honored during the athletic department’s annual Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society ceremony Tuesday night at the Northern Hotel downtown. Membership in the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society is reserved for varsity student-athletes who maintain a grade point average of 3.40 or higher, and are in at least their junior year of academic eligibility within the university. This year’s class of honorees featured 14 first-time student-athletes, and a dozen who had been inducted in previous years. For the second year in-a-row, MSUB’s baseball team featured the most inductees with six, while MSUB’s softball and women’s basketball teams each had four inductees.
