The MSUB men’s and women’s golf teams kick off their 2015-16 with an opening ceremonies banquet at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in downtown Billings that is open to the public Wednesday evening. BILLINGS, Mont. – Kicking off the 2015-16 season with an opening ceremonies event on Wednesday evening, the Montana State University Billings men’s and women’s golf teams will hold a banquet sponsored by Domino’s at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in downtown Billings to signal their debut event of the year, a match play contest with Rocky Mountain College this weekend. The event, starting at 6 p.m., is open to the public, with an admission charge of $25 to cover the catered dinner provided by the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Mike Steffanson of KULR8 will serve as the master of ceremonies for the event, and will introduce the men’s and women’s golfers at MSUB and RMC and unveil the pairings for this weekend’s match play. The teams will kick off their seasons at Pryor Creek Golf Club in Huntley, Mont., on Thursday on the first day of the event, and will wrap up with action at Peter Yegen Golf Club in Billings on Friday. Action kicks off at 1 p.m. on both days. The format of the event will feature singles play and four-ball on Day 1, and singles play and an alternate shot on Day 2. Yellowjackets Connor Miele and Bailee Dexter will speak at the event and welcome their teammates and guests.
