Registration open for MSUB men’s soccer summer camps

MSUB’s men’s soccer program will put on a series of summer camps for children of all ages, and registration is open now as the camps begin at the end of June.

BILLINGS, Mont. – Registration is now open for a variety of summer camps hosted by the Montana State University Billings men’s soccer team starting at the end of June, all of which will take place at Yellowjacket Field on the City College campus.

MSUB will host a College I.D. Camp, a Youth Summer Camp, as well as a Goalkeeper Camp, providing opportunities for youth of all ages to work on their soccer skills under the guidance of the Yellowjackets’ expert coaching staff and student-athletes.

MSUB’s Summer College I.D. Camp runs June 25-26 and is for high-school juniors and seniors as well as junior-college players and four-year university transfers who have a release. The cost of the camp is $279, which includes a two-night stay in MSUB’s residence halls and six meals provided. The cost of attending the camp without food and lodging is $129.

Camp attendees will be provided with a written assessment by MSUB’s coaching staff, and a variety of college soccer coaches from the area will be in attendance to scout as well. Saturday’s camp will feature two sessions – from 10 a.m.noon and from 4-6 p.m. – and Sunday’s final session will run from 10 a.m.-noon.

MSUB’s Youth Summer Camp, which will run June 27 – July 1, is for boys and girls ages 5 to 13. The weeklong camp will run from 9 a.m.-noon daily, and will include a soccer ball and MSUB t-shirt within the registration price of $99.

Discounted rates for full teams who wish to attend the camp are also available.

MSUB’s final camp of the summer focuses on goalkeeper instruction, and will run from Aug. 8-12 with daily sessions from 8-10 a.m. The camp is for boys and girls of all ages and skill levels, and the cost to register is $125. The only goalkeeper camp in Montana will be administered by MSUB head coach and licensed goalkeeper coach Alex Balog along with his expert goalkeeping staff.
