Thiago Novis, Tom Lohmann, and Rhys Lambert will each compete in competitive summer soccer development leagues before returning to MSUB for their senior seasons in the fall of 2016. BILLINGS, Mont. – A trio of Montana State University Billings men’s soccer seniors are set to fine-tune their skills over the summer, competing in some of the top development leagues throughout the United States. Forward Thiago Novis is playing for Bellingham United in the Evergreen Premier League (Wash.), goalkeeper Tom Lohmann is suiting up for the Michigan Bucks in the Premier Development League, and midfielder Rhys Lambert is competing for the Seattle Sounders U23 squad. “We believe this is a great opportunity for our guys to keep touching the ball, stay fit, and compete at a high level,” said MSUB head coach Alex Balog. “Many current professional players have come through these summer league systems, so it will be an opportunity for Tom, Rhys, and Thiago to put themselves on the radar of professional clubs. We know they’ll go on and represent MSUB men’s soccer well and put our name out there.” Novis is already stealing headlines with BUFC, having earned EPL Player of the Week after scoring and assisting in his team’s 2-1 win at the Apple Bowl.
