GNAC Title, Deep West Region Run Highlight 2015 Yellowjacket Softball Season
Fighting its way back into the GNAC Championships after a two-year drought dating back to the 2012 season, the MSUB softball team stormed through the four-team field to claim the GNAC title and the conference’s automatic berth into the NCAA Division II West Region Championships. The ‘Jackets advanced all the way to the regional championship game, before falling to Sonoma State and finishing the season as the West Region runners-up. GNAC Co-Player of the Year Taylor Hoke and right-handed pitcher Jessyka MacDonald highlighted a group of seven four-year seniors who led this season’s squad into its fourth NCAA appearance in program history.
