Yellowjacket Men’s Soccer Off To Strong Start
fall, 2015
Beginning the 2015 season with a record of 3-1-1, the Yellowjacket men made a statement in their GNAC opener with a 4-0 shutout against University of Mary on the road. Yellowjacket newcomer Ricardo Palomino has stolen headlines with eight goals through his first five matches, and the Yellowjackets lead the conference early on with 16 goals through Sept. 23. With players and coaches representing 10 different nations, the MSUB men’s team combines a wide range of international styles on the pitch from German goalkeeper Tom Lohmann to Australian midfielder Rhys Lambert to Brazilian forward Thiago Novis. Spotlight On The Yellowjackets
MSUB women’s soccer senior Elizabeth Howard (right) has battled back from a torn ACL not once but twice throughout her career. After making the decision to attend college in the United States, Howard is now in her second season with the Yellowjackets and recently scored her first collegiate goal after missing nearly all of 2014 with an injury. Moonlight Madness Signals Start of BBall Seasons
MSUB’s women’s soccer team blanked Northwest Nazarene 2-0 on Sept. 19 to Representing the official start to MSUB’s men’s and women’s open its conference slate with a victory and improve to 3-1-1 overall early on in basketball seasons, Moonlight Madness is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 13 the season. Jessica Spang has scored three goals already this season, freshman at Alterowitz Gymnasium. Both Yellowjacket teams will scrimmage, and goalkeeper Chloe Hopps earned her first career shutout, and Katlyn Lokay and Kari a dunk and 3-point contest will be part of the evening of festivities.
