Ivan Colmenero posts the eighth-best time in the GNAC this season in the 10k on Friday, with a personal-best time of 33:51.01 at the Trudnowski Open in Helena. HELENA, Mont. – Ivan Colmenero highlighted a strong day for the Montana State University Billings track and field distance squad Friday at the Trudnowski Open hosted by Carroll College, racing to a personal-best and top-10 time in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference in the 10,000-meters at Vigilante Field. Colmenero’s time of 33:51.01 was the best of his career, and slated him eighth in the GNAC with the conference meet three weeks away. Teammate Jacob Marshall also had a PR in the 10k, cruising to a time of 35:16.11 which is good for 17th in the GNAC. “That was a really good race for Ivan to put him into the top-10 in the GNAC,” said MSUB head coach Dave Coppock. “He and Jacob ran well today, and now we have three guys in the top-20 in that event.”
