MSUB women’s basketball junior Alisha Breen will be featured on this week’s GNAC Insider.

MSUB junior Alisha Breen is joining the GNAC Insider as a featured guest on this week’s program. PORTLAND, Ore. – Junior Alisha Breen of the MSUB women’s basketball team will be a featured guest on the GNAC Insider this Tuesday evening at 8 p.m. Mountain time.


GNAC Insider is the weekly radio program of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference, which airs on Tuesday evenings and is available as a free podcast on iTunes. To listen live to Tuesday's program, click here. Breen is tied for the lead in conference points averaging 17.2 per game. She is pulling in 5.8 rebounds and is listed on 12 conference categories. The junior recently topped 1,000 career points and has moved into third all-time in made freethrows at MSUB with 319. The Yellowjackets are 15-7 overall and third in the GNAC standings with an 11-3 record. Breen will discuss two big events coming up for the Yellowjacket women’s basketball program. On Thursday, Feb. 11, MSUB is hosting Western Oregon during the GNAC ROOT SPORTS Game of the Week. It is also the 10th annual Think Pink Night at Alterowitz when in conjunction with the St. Vincent Healthcare’s EVA Project, the Yellowjackets will be raising money in support of breast cancer awareness and the mammography mobile unit that supplies free care to women in the Billings community. All women receive free admission to the game on Thursday and cancer survivors will be recognized before the game as the MSUB basketball team presents each with a rose provided by Gainan’s Flowers and Garden Center. The Yellowjackets will be wearing their pink uniforms given to the team by the EVA Project, and St. Vincent Healthcare will be holding a raffle in the lobby for several baskets with all proceeds to be given back to the community program. This year, t-shirts for the event will also be available in the lobby for $20.00 each, and a 50/50 drawing will take place as well. Saturday, Feb. 13, MSUB is hosting its final home game of the season in a double-header schedule with the men’s team. The women take to the court at 7:30 p.m. to close out their GNAC home schedule with the conference’s newest member Concordia (Ore.). After the game, seniors Janiel Olson and Monica Grimsrud will be recognized. GNAC Insider is hosted by Central Washington University's Rob Lowery, and is produced by the conference office.
