MSUB’s women’s basketball team spends 10 days in Spain, visiting historic sites and competing in exhibition games in a unique off-season experience. BILLINGS, Mont. – With a unique and historic opportunity this spring, the Montana State University Billings women’s basketball team traveled to Barcelona, Spain both to compete and for an unforgettable cultural experience. The 5,000-mile journey took place in mid-May, with the Yellowjackets playing two exhibition contests under unfamiliar European rules. Stops along the way included numerous historic cathedrals and landmarks, the Olympic Stadium, and a trip to a world class soccer match. “I am extremely thankful that our team got to go on this once-in-a-lifetime trip,” commented Yellowjacket assistant coach Jenny Heringer. “The time we spent together was truly invaluable. The girls were able to bond with one another on a new level, and that was exciting to watch.”
