BILLINGS, Mont. – On Thursday, Feb. 16, the MSUB women’s basketball program will be hosting its 11th annual Think Pink Night in collaboration with the St. Vincent Healthcare’s EVA Project. In celebration of the night, the Yellowjacket team will be offering t-shirts commemorating the game. Available sizes range from adult small through XXL with each selling for $20 with all proceeds returning to the EVA Project. “I want to thank MSUB and the women’s basketball team for partnering with St. Vincent Healthcare and the Eva Project,” said Emily Brown director of cancer support care at St. Vincent’s Healthcare Foundation. “Together we are spreading the word of breast health and early detection.” “The Eva Project is a philanthropic initiative of the St. Vincent Healthcare Foundation, which means we only operate on funds raised for the program,” Brown said. “MSUB and the women’s basketball program knows and understands the
importance of early detection and want to share that awareness with their community. I would like to thank MSUB and Coach Woodin for making this happen.” The Yellowjacket women’s basketball program is a proud supporter of the EVA Project, and annually has helped raise funds for provided services. The Eva Project provides free mammograms to women over age 40 that are uninsured or under-insured. Annual mammograms screenings are recommended for women beginning at the age of 40. St. Vincent Healthcare offers a team of mammography professionals that will answer any questions before, during and after screening. For more information on the EVA Project please visit www.svh-mt.org. “Our team is excited about our PINK game on Thursday which is sponsored by the EVA Project,” MSUB head coach Kevin Woodin said. “We will meet with the Breast Cancer Survivors group Monday evening and tour the Breast Cancer Center. It will be nice to spend time with the survivors as it is always inspiring for our players to hear their personal stories. In addition, we intend to raise a significant amount of money for the Eva Project through t-shirt sales, raffles, etc. I know Thursday will be a fun evening and the basketball action will be great too.” Thursday’s game at MSUB is a doubleheader with the Yellowjacket men’s team hosting Seattle Pacific at 5:15 p.m. followed by the women’s team tackling No. 21 Western Washington at 7:30 p.m. In honor of Think Pink Night, all women will be granted free admission to the games, and fans are encouraged to wear pink in support of breast cancer awareness. T-shirts are available now and interested parties can contact Coach Woodin at 406-657-2368. They will also be for sale in the lobby prior to the doubleheader on Thursday. In addition, representatives from the St. Vincent Healthcare’s EVA Project will be on hand with information as well as a chance to participate in raffles with all proceeds from the evening’s sales returning directly to the EVA Project. --@MSUBSports | #JacketNation--
