BILLINGS, Mont. – Adding three more recruits to the Montana State University Billings women’s golf class of 2017, Yellowjacket head coach Kevin Woodin introduced the newest faces to join the team next year on Wednesday. Kylee Knobloch of Birney, Mont., Sydney Rochford of Three Forks, Mont., and Sarah Schroefel of Worland, Wyo., have each signed letters of intent to join the Yellowjackets for the 2017-18 season. The three signings bring next year’s women’s golf total to four, after Renae Heisler of Great Falls, Mont., committed to the Yellowjackets last fall.
Kylee Knobloch Birney, Montana Tongue River High School 5’9” – Right-Handed Swing Intended Major: Elementary Education Knobloch is a four-year letterwinner in both golf and basketball at Tongue River High School in Dayton, Wyo. She also piloted TRHS to its first ever team title at the state golf tournament, and she was the first female prep player from her high school to be No. 1 in the state. Coach Woodin on Knobloch: “Kylee will be a great addition to our golf program. I believe her best golf is ahead of her and that she will improve rapidly once she is able to focus on only golf. The improvements in both her game and scores over the past couple of years have been very significant.” Knobloch on choosing MSUB: “I chose MSUB because not only is it close to home, but its golf and education programs are very successful. I’m excited to see where the sport and schooling take me.” Sydney Rochford Three Forks, Montana Three Forks High School 5’8” – Right-Handed Swing Intended Major: Business Like Knobloch, Rochford is a multi-sport athlete at Three Forks High School.
