Given to teams achieving a collective grade point average of 3.0 or higher, MSUB’s women’s soccer team earns the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 14th year in-a-row. KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Winning the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Team Academic Award for the 14th year in-a-row, the Montana State University Billings women’s soccer team turned in a collective grade point average of 3.23 during the 2014-15 academic year to earn the honor announced by the organization on Wednesday. “I am definitely very proud of the girls for keeping our academic tradition going,” commented MSUB head coach Wojtek Krakowiak. “To receive this award 14 times in-a-row is an enormous accomplishment for our past and present studentathletes. It shows that we can be very competitive on the field as well as in the classroom with our very demanding travel schedule. I am happy for the team earning this award again.” The award is presented annually to men’s and women’s college teams as well as boys and girls high school teams throughout the United States. This year, a total of 865 soccer teams (307 men, 556 women) were honored by the NSCAA. MSUB was one of four Great Northwest Athletic Conference women’s soccer teams to earn the award, as Central Washington, Saint Martin’s and Western Oregon were each also honored. --@MSUBSports | #JacketNation--
