MSU Billings places four runner in the top-5 during the Yellowjacket Battlin’ Bear Dual meet at Riverfront Park. BILLINGS, Mont. – A week out from the conference championship, MSU Billings placed four runners in the top-5 spots at the Yellowjacket Battlin’ Bear dual held at Riverfront Park on Thursday. Rio Frame finished second behind unattached Della Lyle who claimed the title. Frame ran the 5,000 meter course in 18:54 with Brielle Davis behind her at 19:28 as MSUB placed runners in the 2-3-4-5 spots. “It was a great tune-up before our conference meet coming up next week at Western Washington,” MSUB head coach Dave Coppock said. “The team ran a very smart, controlled race and came away feeling ready to head to conference. The team packed-up real well and worked together, so it helped put us in a positive light and gets us physically and mentally ready to move on through the championship races coming up. Rio Frame looked healthy coming off an injury and Jinise Trueblood has really rounded into shape which will help our depth at conference. It was really good to see the women put a solid race together as a team.”
