International Student Automatic Scholarship The International Student Automatic Scholarship is awarded to all incoming international students. To receive the scholarship beyond the first semester, you must: ▸ maintain a 2.0 GPA ▸ volunteer 10 hours to MSUM and/or the Fargo-Moorhead community and submit a volunteer form ▸ 3 of the 10 hours must be on campus International students who require an I-20 immigration form must be able to provide current financial sponsorship and a bank statement indicating you have the necessary funds to finance the costs of your education at MSU Moorhead. You will need an I-20 form for you F-1 student visa interview. If you plan to join as an exchange student, you must provide the sufficient funding documents according to your program. You will need the DS-2019 form for your J-1 student visa interview. All new entering freshman students are required to live on campus the first year. If you are 21 years or older or if you have already transferred 24 U.S. college credits, you are not required to live on campus. All other students are required to live on campus the first year. International Student Admission and Application Requirements All applicants outside of the United States are encouraged to contact your local EducationUSA Advising Center for assistance with your application. ▸ Completed your secondary education within your home country and be entitled to acceptance into the universities in your home country. ▸ Evaluation of your academic performance. ▸ English proficiency as evidenced by a TOEFL score (500 on paper test, 173 on computer test or 61 on internet test), IELTS score (5.5 or better), MELAB score (80 or better), completion of ELS course 109 or higher or completion of Kaplan course. ▸ Financially self-sufficient and able to provide proof of your funds.
