TODAY’S PANELISTS SCOTT ADELSON Houlihan Lokey Scott Adelson, a senior managing director in Houlihan Lokey’s Los Angeles office, is the global co-head of corporate finance and also serves as a member of Houlihan Lokey’s Board of Directors. His practice embraces all aspects of corporate finance, including M&A and leveraged buyouts. During his more than two decades at the firm, he has advised hundreds of companies, including multinational conglomerates and technology leaders. Previously Adelson had been a serial entrepreneur. He is an active board member of various public and private companies, and nonprofit organizations. Adelson completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Southern California and received his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
ROBERT BROWN Lincoln International Robert Brown is managing director and co-president of North America for Lincoln International. He is also co-head of Lincoln’s business services group and a member of their Management Committee. Brown has extensive experience in advising companies on divestitures, acquisitions and valuation issues. His clients have included mid-market and large companies as well as leading private equity groups. Brown has deep credentials within the information, marketing, consulting, and industrial service industries. Previously Brown spent eight years with Price Waterhouse, an international accounting and professional services firm, in the New York and Chicago offices. He earned his B.S. in accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana and his M.B.A. from Columbia University Graduate School of Business.
STEPHEN BURT Duff & Phelps Stephen Burt is a managing director and president of Duff & Phelps Securities. Burt has more than 17 years of middle-market M&A experience in several industries, including manufacturing, consumer products and financial institutions. He specializes in providing M&A services to buyers and sellers of private and public companies divesting divisions and subsidiaries. Prior to joining Duff & Phelps, Burt was a vice president at Harris Bank. He is on the Advisory Board at DePaul University, a member of the Chicago Chapter of ACG, and a member of the Board of Directors of Regal Beloit Corporation and the DuPage Community Foundation. He received his B.S. in finance from Indiana University and his M.B.A. in finance from DePaul University.
TODAY’S PANELISTS CHRISANNE CORBETT KPMG Corporate Finance Chrisanne Corbett is a managing director with KPMG Corporate Finance, LLC, a leading investment bank to the middle market. Based in Chicago, she leads the industrial markets and private equity coverage teams for the U.S. practice. Corbett has extensive international experience, having advised on numerous cross border transactions involving companies based in the UK, France, Germany, China and India. Her 18 plus years of M&A experience cover a wide range of corporate finance transactions, including M&A, divestitures, financings and strategic assessments. Previously she worked with JP Morgan Bank and Mitsubishi Bank in their leveraged buyout financing groups. Corbett earned her B.A. in finance from the University of Notre Dame and her M.B.A. in finance & accounting from the University of Chicago.
GARY RABISHAW Intrepid Investment Bankers Gary Rabishaw is a managing director and founding partner at Intrepid Investment Bankers. Previously Rabishaw focused on middle-market M&A advisory at Barrington Associates and Wells Fargo Securities. He has been involved in numerous domestic and international corporate finance transactions, including M&A, private equity capital raising and financing transactions. Prior to Barrington Associates, Rabishaw was vice president in the merchant banking group of Banque Paribas. Rabishaw is a board member of the Los Angeles Chapter of ACG, the Laurence School and the Bureau of Jewish Education. He received his B.A. in economics from the University of Illinois and his M.B.A. with distinction from the JL Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
TODAY’S MODERATOR JOHN MARTIN GE Antares John Martin is president and chief executive officer of GE Antares, which provides acquisition financing to the private equity sponsor community. Among other responsibilities, he oversees a $10 billion portfolio of acquisition loans and investments. He was named chief operating officer of Antares in 2000. In 1996, Martin cofounded Antares Capital Corporation, a Chicago-based provider of acquisition financing. Prior to that, Martin was a senior executive with Heller Financial. He began his career with Continental Illinois National Bank. Martin is on the Business Advisory Council for the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame, a member of the Executive Club of Chicago, and a board member of numerous non-profit organizations. He earned his B.A. in finance from Notre Dame.
