TODAY’S PANELISTS DAVID CHIANG Managing Director Wilshire Associates David Chiang is a Managing Director at Wilshire’s Private Markets Group, a global private equity fund of funds and advisory group with $5 billion of assets under management. Mr. Chiang serves on WPM’s Business Committee and its Investment Committee and is primarily responsible for origination, due diligence, and monitoring investments across private equity sectors within the U.S. and Canada. Prior to joining WPM, Mr. Chiang worked as a Principal for ACON Investments, an international private equity firm. Mr. Chiang also previously worked for the Government of Singapore (“GIC”) Special Investments, the private equity arm of a global investment management company, where he served as a member of the U.S. Investment Committee and focused on U.S. buyouts and global distressed investments as well as equity co-investments. Mr. Chiang also previously worked for Catterton Partners and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette’s Investment Banking Group. Mr. Chiang received dual BA degrees from Brown University in Business Economics and Psychology and his MBA from the Anderson School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles.

GERRY FLINTOFT Director PineBridge Investments Gerry Flintoft is a Director in the Alternatives Investments Group at PineBridge Investments (formerly AIG Investments), an independent asset manager with nearly $70 billion in assets under management. Mr. Flintoft works with PineBridge’s private equity investment teams with a focus on primary and secondary partnership fund investments and direct investments. Prior to joining PineBridge, Mr. Flintoft served as an Investment Officer with Los Angeles County Employees Retirement Association (LACERA) assisting in the development, implementation and monitoring of the Fund’s $4 billion Private Equity investment program. LACERA is a $39 billion public pension fund that administers and manages the largest county retirement system in the U.S. Mr. Flintoft brings over 23 years of experience in the disciplines of development and investment advisory services including asset management, acquisition/disposition, commercial and investment banking. He began his career with Manufacturers Hanover Trust and Drexel Burnham Lambert. Mr. Flintoft, a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a bachelor’s degree in economics and Columbia University Graduate School of Business with an MBA in finance.


TODAY’S PANELISTS JAY KANG Director Conrad N. Hilton Foundation Jay Kang is a Director of Investments at the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, supporting the strategic development and ongoing management of the Hilton Foundation’s investment portfolio. In this role, Mr. Kang monitors existing managers and evaluates prospective managers in all asset classes, leads asset allocation reviews, and assesses liquidity needs. Prior to joining the Hilton Foundation, he was an Equity Analyst with Emerging Markets Management, a Senior Financial Analyst at Sears Holdings Corporation, and a Senior Financial Analyst at the Yale Investments Office, where he worked primarily on domestic equity, foreign equity, absolute return, and cash management. Mr. Kang earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Yale University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.

PANEL MODERATOR MAC HOFEDITZ Partner Probitas Partners Mac Hofeditz is a Partner at Probitas Partners, a global provider of alternative investment solutions, offering fund placement, secondary fund advisory, and portfolio management services, with an emphasis on private equity, hedge funds and real assets. Mr. Hofeditz has more than twenty years of industry experience and is responsible for Probitas Partners’ primary fundraising project management activities and leads its sourcing effort for new fundraising projects. Prior to joining Probitas Partners in 2001, Mr. Hofeditz was with AdvisorTech Corporation, a venture-backed financial services firm. Previously, he was an investment consultant with Strategic Investment Solutions, a leading adviser to sophisticated institutional investors. Mr. Hofeditz earned a BA in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles.
