Kevin Cross is a Managing Director of Cerberus California, LLC. Mr. Cross joined the Cerberus Companies in 2004. While at Cerberus, he has originated and managed over $1 billion of middle market loans, equity and distressed investments and has sat on several boards. Mr. Cross’s responsibilities include originating, structuring, underwriting and managing middle market loans and investments. Prior to joining the Cerberus Companies, from 1995 to 2004, Mr. Cross was a Managing Director and member of the National Corporate Finance Committee at Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin where he was responsible for managing over $6 billion of advisory assignments for private debt and equity placements, mergers and acquisitions, restructurings and special situations. He also had principal investing responsibilities as a Board Member of HLHZ Investments, LLC from 2000 to 2004 and as a Principal of Century Park Capital Partners, an affiliated private equity fund, from 1999 to 2004. Prior to Houlihan Lokey, from 1991 to 1995, Mr. Cross was an Assistant Vice President in the Merchant Banking Group of Sanwa Bank where he originated, underwrote, managed and syndicated over $3 billion of senior and subordinated debt. He is a graduate of the University of California at San Diego.

Karim Teymourtache is a senior vice president and manager at Union Bank. In 2011, he took a leadership role in the national specialized industries group where he accelerated the growth of select lending businesses. Previously Teymourtache was a regional manager for the corporate banking group covering the Santa Barbara, Ventura and San Fernando Valley regions. In 2007, he was given additional responsibility to manage the West Los Angeles regional commercial banking group. The net income for that office more than tripled over the last two years. Prior to joining Union Bank in 2000, Teymourtache was a senior client manager at Bank of America. He holds a B.A. in international economics from American University in Paris, an M.A. in business economics from University of California, Santa Barbara and an M.B.A from the University of Southern California.

TODAY’S MODERATOR J. MICHAEL RICE GE Capital Michael Rice is a senior vice president of the structured finance group within commercial finance at GE Capital. Rice supports other GE Capital corporate lending and leasing teams in the Western half of the United States. His responsibilities include the origination, structuring, analysis and closing of a variety of financial products including project finance, critical asset finance, ESOPs, new market tax credits and tax-oriented partnerships. Prior to joining GE Capital in 2004, Rice held sales and management positions with Transamerica Financial and Heller Financial. He holds a B.S in business administration from Portland State University.

RAJ SOOD Focal Point Rajesh Sood is a managing director at Focal Point Partners, LLC. He serves as the lead advisor in leveraged buyouts, financings, and M&A transactions across a wide range of industries. Sood has focused on the middle market for the last 15 years and has successfully structured, marketed and closed more than $5 billion in senior, subordinated, preferred stock and common equity placements. Previously he was a senior member of the corporate finance team at Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin. Prior to that, Sood worked in the corporate finance group at NationsBanc Montgomery Securities where he completed leveraged buyout, crossborder, high-yield and project finance transactions for leading companies in the United States. He holds a B.S. degree in biology from the University of Kansas and Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri and an M.B.A. with an emphasis in finance from the University of Texas in Austin
