MU LAMBDA IS SERVICE

The brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., Mu Lambda Chapter are ushering in the Fall season with celebration and community service to the communities in DC. On Saturday, October 1 the brothers of Mu Lambda Chapter celebrated their 99th charter day. The day consisted of service and highly anticipated fellowship.

On Saturday, October 8, 2022 Mu Lambda Day of Service for the Bloomingdale community. This community service event was in partnership with Good Health WINs, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing transparent information about health needs and innovations for Women’s Immunizations Networks. Brothers from Beta Chapter and Mu Lambda Chapter, as well as members of the Bloomingdale community worked together to assemble and distribute emergency feminine hygiene kits for women in DC.

In addition to the emergency hygiene kits, brothers also participated in a community beautification project at the Mu Lambda Foundation House on Alpha Phi Alpha Way. The brothers Mu Lambda Chapter have not only made a commitment to uplifting communities in DC, but to uplifting communities throughout the country as well. On Friday, October 21, the brothers of Mu Lambda Chapter and the brothers of Alpha Epsilon Lambda Chapter to collaborated to combat the water crisis occurring in Jackson, Mississippi.

The brothers of Mu Lambda were able to provide the Alpha Epsilon Lambda Chapter with 96 cases of water. Although the seasons may change, Mu Lambda Chapter’s dedication to service and love for all mankind will not. Mu Lambda will continue to exhibit a standard of excellence as it prepares to enter the holiday season and the start of the centennial year.
