Az idén tízéves Recirquel társulat IMA című előadása különleges immerzív színházi élmény – a földi valóságból kiszakítva hív spirituális utazásra. „Az ima mindenkinek mást jelent, ezért a kulcsszó a nyitottság, az átszellemülés – nyilatkozta Vági Bence. – Azt szeretnénk megmutatni, hogy létezik egy hely, ahol minden ember túlléphet önmagán, olyan állapotba tud kerülni, melyben megtalálhatja önmagában a fényt.” Az IMA a társulat által képviselt egyedi előadó-művészeti műfaj, a cirque danse nyelvén szólal meg: a kortárs táncot a cirkuszművészettel ötvöző alkotás ugyanakkor új utat törve, különleges immerzív színházi élményt kínál, amelyben a nézők maguk is az előadás részeivé válnak. A szakrális helyek atmoszféráját idéző IMA-installáció fénnyel és hanggal különlegessé formált tere egybeolvad az előadóművészek mozgásával, felemel, ugyanakkor a lélek mélyére visz. Az IMA egyszemélyes darab, melyet négy klasszis artistaművész – Horváth Zita, Illés Renátó, Zsíros Gábor és Charles-Éric Bouchard – egymást váltva ad elő. A meditatív, spirituális utazáson a művészek nemcsak előadók, hanem egyben kísérői is a közönségnek. A produkcióban ugyanakkor nagy hangsúlyt kapott az összművészeti alkotói munka: a látvány- és fénytervezés, a zene és a hangzás együttesen hozza létre az installáció terének tágas, lebegő élményét. A Szirtes Edina Mókus zeneszerző és Terjék Gábor sound designer által fémjelzett zene nélkülözhetetlen része az előadásnak, csakúgy, mint a produkcióban különleges szerepet kapó fények, melyekért Lenzsér Attila lighting designer felelt. Az IMA-installáció Vági Bence és Vladár Tamás alkotása, az előtér Iványi Árpád közreműködésével jött létre, míg a produkció látványvilága Kasza Emese jelmezei által válik teljessé.

Vági Bence Vági Bence a modern tánc és a klasszikus balett világából érkezett. Rendező-koreográfusi képzését követően a cirkusz és a fizikai színház felé fordult, úttörő szemléletmódjának köszönhetően a progresszív előadó-művészeti szcéna meghatározó alkotója. A Recirquel meg alapításával Vági Bence és fiatal artistái olyan sikeres úton indultak el, amilyet álmaikban sem képzeltek volna. Újító előadó-művészeti formaviláguk a színház varázsát sajátos módon fogalmazza újra a kortárs közönség számára. „A művészet ősidők óta ugyanazon történeteket meséli el újra és újra, műfajoktól és irányzatoktól függetlenül. Hírnökök vagyunk, mesélők, akik az emberek szívében a lélek számára igyekszünk teret hódítani.”

Recirquel 2012-ben Vági Bence tizenegy fiatal artistát kért fel egy a 20. Sziget Fesztiválra készülő produkció megalkotására, amelyet kirobbanó siker fogadott. A bemutató nemcsak a közönség, de a színházi szakma figyelmét is magára vonta: a siker nyomán Vági Bence és csapata felkérést kapott a Müpától, hogy készítse el első egész estés újcirkusz-előadását. A Müpa kulcsszerepet játszott a hazai újcirkusz alapjainak megteremtésében azáltal, hogy a főként klasszikus zenei, jazz- és világzenei, valamint táncművészeti produkciókat befogadó intézményben teret engedett az új műfaj számára. Az első, Cirkusz az éjszakában című előadás 2013-as bemutatója óta a Recirquel minden produkciója állandó vendége a Müpának.
Celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, Recirquel presents IMA (Pray), a unique immersive theatrical experience – a spiritual journey away from the earthly realm. “A prayer means different things to different people, so the key word is openness, an opening of the spirit,” said Bence Vági. “We’d like to show that there exists a place where everyone can go beyond themselves, a state where they can find the light in themselves.” IMA speaks the language of cirque danse, the unique performing art genre represented by the company: combining contemporary dance with circus art, the work breaks new ground and offers a unique, immersive theatrical experience, in which the audience becomes part of the performance. Evoking the atmosphere of a sacred place, the unique space of the IMA installation, shaped by light and sound, melds with the performers’ movements, uplifting the viewer and transporting him/her to the depths of the soul.

IMA is a one-person show, performed in rotation by four world-class acrobats: Zita Horváth, Renátó Illés, Gábor Zsíros and Charles-Éric Bouchard. On this meditative, spiritual journey, the artists are not only performers, but the guides of the audience as well. At the same time, IMA is a real multi-disciplinary creation, where production and lighting design, music and sound design organically work together to create the spacious, floating experience of the installation space evoking the mysteries of the universe. The original music by Edina Mókus Szirtes and the sound design by Gábor Terjék play an essential role in the show, as well as the lighting design created by Attila Lenzsér. The IMA-installation was conceived by Bence Vági and Tamás Vladár, the lobby was designed by Árpád Iványi, while the production design is made complete with the costumes designed by Emese Kasza. Bence Vági Bence Vági comes from the world of modern dance and classical ballet. Following his education as a director and choreographer, he turned to circus and physical theatre, and his pioneering approach has made him a key figure in the progressive performing arts scene. With the establishment of Recirquel, Bence Vági and his young acrobats embarked on a successful journey that they could never have imagined. Their innovative performing arts style redefines the magic of theatre for contemporary audiences in a most unique way. Since the 2013 premiere of Recirquel’s first show, Night Circus, all of the company’s productions have been featured at Müpa Budapest.

Recirquel Budapest In 2012, Bence Vági asked 11 young acrobats to create a production for the 20th Sziget Festival, which was a huge success, also attracting the attention of the theatre profession. In its wake, Müpa Budapest commissioned Vági and his team to create their first full-length contemporary circus production. Müpa Budapest has played a key role in laying the foundations of contemporary circus in Hungary by giving space to the new genre in an institution that mainly hosts classical music, jazz, world music and dance performances. Since the premiere of the first performance, the 2013 Circus in the Night, all of Recirquel’s productions have been featured at Müpa Budapest.
