I’m Mustafa Ali Toglukdemir. I have a strong belief that design is like a large rooted family which includes many members with various characteristics and relatives since I come from, one of the most multi-cultural countries in the world, Turkey. Contents

King’s Crown is supposed to be an innovative whiskey glass whom likes drinking straight and keep them colder for a longer time with a simple solution. The glass remedies drinking whiskey with melting ice cubes, which makes the whiskey softer with melted ice inside, and keeping it cold.

Okiri is a kitchen utensil products set project which includes knife, chopping board and grater. The idea of products are coming from reasearch and user analysis with a market research. It is aimed to create an innovative, different and functional products with common design language.

1773 ITU Exclusive is an ITU 1773 Store project for alumni and recent students of ITU to be sold as a gift and leisure activity product. It aims giving reflection of Istanbul Technical University’s style to a chess set which is one of the most beloved board game in campus life. Additionally, the chess set has distinctive and innovative line which is very smart and creative to be sold in other extra-ordinary shops.

Venus is a glass packaging project which aims to reach young users who are skipped in the marked and also are interested in popular vintage culture and 80’s neon lighted, fancy era. It has been considered as completely new product as a soda brand which targets 80’s people and new generation. Venus also gains experiences its consumers with its experimental flavours.

SIEVE PACK SievePack is a packaging project for making in easier way pouring the flour. It is multifunctional packaging which has a small mechanism inside. SievePack provides function of storage container and sieve the pellet.

point Pointo is a switch and socket (plug) styling project which intends creating of a product set or family for an exclusive user segment. It is one of the funniest project in this portfolio in fact of considering progression process with research and persona making for extreme target groups step by step in synchronized way.

HE

Hex is a work for ITU Ayazaga Green Campus project. The project intends using developing technology and dreaming about Green Campus concept for a ring-bus stop. The ring stop is designed to be eco-friendly and durable to bad weather conditions. It’s also possible to be prototyped and manufactured in few years by developing technology.

Concept

Exhibited in Design Ankara fair as an packaging project.

Definition: A glass packaging design which reflects the synthesis of vintage era such as 50’s and 80’s and recent time in visual aspects by using trend icons or themes of nowaday’s youth and also is manufacturable by using blow molding method. Who (is this product for?): Young Adults and Teens Where (is mostly to be consumed/sold?) : Nightclub, Party, Exclusive Drink Rayon Why (is it designed?): The young people have a tendency to consume fancy looking products and accoring to the analysis made, they are willing to taste experimental flavours such as what Venus does.

Ideation Sketches: Few sketches are drawn considering manufacturing and form finding. 3D CAD Modelling: Some alternatives are considered and the design is finalized with a complete 3D CAD Model.

By placing the ice cubes or pieces under the glass, thus it is provided a cold but straight drinking. The detail at the border of the PP ice case inside surface, helps settlement and jamming.

SIEVE PACK One of the most used ingredient of our foods is flour. However, while preparing food by using flour, occurrance of flour pellet and creepage of it cause some problem.

The design is awarded by the IMMIB and IKMIB commitee for the packaging design competition in student category, in field of metal packaging.

The awarded design was exhibited in 2014 in Paris by the supports of the IMMIB and IKMIB.

The design and package is a container and storage product for flour, at the same time, it is a sieve which provides a controlled pouring of flour during using it.

Design a packaging product, solving a problem during usage stage. Find a solution to a problematical step in a usage process by using the packaging. The design of the packaging should be easy to be manufactured, has potential of exportation and high ratio of sale, also have modern line in aspects of its design.

Concept Definition: A flour package design, that should serve good pouring in a hurry, has use of healthy and recyclablity and simplicity with minimalism that is able to be produced easily with industrial techniques. Who (is this product for?): Students, employee, hasty users Where (is mostly to be consumed/sold?) : Market Why (is it designed?): Some sort of people are quick and hothead and the other who cares about environment and recyclability. Accoring to the analysis made, big range of people think that it is very functional and good solution to have a sieve as a packaging of a flour pocket.

For various types of flours, the packaging design is coded with different colour and logo usage on the product.

Secondary filter provides exit of flour in a better controlled way. The primer filter that elects the pellet of flour at the first step. The design is awarded by the IMMIB and IKMIB commitee for the packaging design competition in student category, in field of metal packaging.

The green parts are made of silicon in order to hold and lock the tap well. The angle of brim leads to easy and better controlled pouring while using.

Finally design a product family set for inhouse electricity power tools such as socket, switch or dimmer.

The Standart 1173 ITU Chess Set is designed for graduates and students of ITU. It is aimed that the consumer buying this set feels elegant and belonging to the University.

This project is for ITU stores being located in Ayazaga and Taskisla Campus. The product is decided to be produced by the university to be sold in the stores.

This set can be preferred to be played. It serves the active play of chess as a difference than the Exclusive set. The set is also designed as a special and meaningful gift. In this set, all of the elements of the chess is presented in the way it is mounted.

Chessboard and other elements are placed in the 1173 ITU black box.

The elements of chess sperated into two groups depending on their colours and gathered together in a tarnsparent nylon pocket.


The products set includes materials of iron and steel made bolts and nuts since they are cheaper and cater to a larger audition. Chessboardis made of aluminium in this set and it is seperated into squares bye press knifes.

Brief

Hex is a work for ITU Ayazaga Green Campus project. The project intends using developing technology worthily reputation of ITU and dreaming about Green Campus concept for a ring-bus stop. The ring stop is designed to be eco-friendly and suppossed to be durable and protective to bad weather conditions. It’s also possible to be prototyped and manufactured in few years by developing technology.

Definition: A ring stop design reflecting synthesis of technology, sustainability, easily establishment and nature-friendly that may benefit to other living habitats such as birds, fogs and even little number of cats living in the campus neighboor. It almost should not damage habitat of the localized animals andsuitable to its land structure. Who (is this product for?): Students, teachers, university Where : AyazaÄ&#x;a Campus Area Why (is it designed?): Since the students does not have a defined ring stops at the waiting points and ITU’s being a well-known and one of the best universities in Turkey requires to be upgraded in terms of green campus and technology in Ayazaga Compound.

The product’s legs are used as a structure part to build up the furniture. The legs actually goes underground directly as studs. They have lenght of 70 cm below the ground. If there is a difference in elevation, the ground is going to be arranged.
