Kids Safe at Home

Ages: 5-10 years old

This class is for the child who stays by himself/herself occasionally, cares for younger siblings for a short period of times or is just ready to accept the responsibility. This course teaches children the importance of behaving responsibly and how to handle themselves when confronted with a challenge, such as answering the telephone or the door when parents are away. Topics covered include: safety in the home, proper use of keys, what to do in case of an emergency, how to respond to strangers and general house rules. Fee includes workbook. Disclaimer: This course does NOT endorse children being home alone; that responsibility lies with the parents. This course simply prepares children to be safe and careful when parents are not immediately available.

First Aid for Kids

Ages: 5-10 years old

This American Red Cross course teaches children introductory first aid skills focusing on recognizing an emergency, calling 911, dealing with cuts, burns, broken bones, poisoning, choking and exploring contents of a first aid kit. Hands-on activities provided for additional reinforcement. Fee includes workbook.

Babysitters Certification

Ages: 11-15 years old

Get the knowledge, skill and confidence you need to care for infants and school-age children. This training will help participants develop skills in leadership and professionalism; safety and safe play; and first aid. The course will combine video, activities, hands-on skills training and discussion for a complete learning experience. Please bring a sack lunch. To receive certification, participants must be present for the entirety of the class.

‘COOL’inary Cooking Club

Ages: 6-11 years old

Your kids can have a blast every week discovering how easy and fun it is to cook (and gobble-up!) tasty, healthy globally-inspired recipes! Our interactive cooking classes incorporate S.T.E.A.M., culture, language, geography, history and more. Sticky Fingers Cooking offers young chefs the chance to explore exciting tastes, master culinary skills, and nourish their bodies and minds. Our talented and experienced Chef Instructors bring all of the ingredients, district approved equipment and supplies to lead an engaging, fun, and interactive cooking class with your young chefs in training.

Little Medics-Little Vet School: Horses

Ages: 6-11 years old

Now students can learn all about horses and their care from the newest Little Medical School Equine program. Students will adopt and name their plush horse and learn the anatomy and maintenance of a horse. They will also learn basic horse nutrition, riding styles, gaits and role-play and basic key responsibilities of an equine veterinarian.

Little Medics-Sports Medicine

Ages: 6-11 years old

Students will explore the roles of an athletic trainer and orthopedic surgeon and learn how to diagnose and treat common sports injuries such as sprains, strains, and athlete’s foot. These future healthcare professionals will explore the famous Tommy John (arm & elbow) surgery and make models of a hand, joint, and tendon.

Culinary Science - Whole Child Learning

Ages: 5-12 years old

Explore the basics of cooking and baking as you create delicious meals and scrumptious treats! We’ll be making recipes for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Learn kitchen hacks, shortcuts and time saving secrets too! Make homemade Chicken Pot Pies and other fall favorites! Take home all of your creations to share with family and friends!

Harry Potter Science & Cooking - Whole Child Learning

EV Fine Arts: Back to School Fashion

Ages: 6-15 years old

Calling all fashion designers! Join us for a weekly two-hour sewing workshop where you can design and create your very own clothes! Projects consist of rompers, bags, tops, tee shirts, skirts, dresses and more. Sketch your ideas out and then see your garments come to life. No sewing experience necessary. All supplies and materials are included in the class fee.
