Men’s Shed builds from the ground up!

The Men’s Shed Trustees are feeling very grateful, having got a few big jobs done recently, thanks to a number of local traders: Ian Paterson of K&I Paterson gave his time and machine to unload and position the Community Shed’s Blackhills granite stone, which was donated by Fyfe Glenrock, while Alan Bruce organised its delivery. Willie Kerr and the team at Deeside Road Construction resurfaced the track to the shed, and were thanked for their efforts in keeping the costs of the job down. The Trustees added: “It is never easy to find funds for jobs like this and your help is much appreciated. The track is now much safer, particularly for people who are maybe not so good on their feet. We have already had very positive remarks from regular walkers on the track!” The Community Shed already has some regular users, including yoga classes, a long-tem art project and the Forget-me-not Club.
