Graduates Share Their EXPERIENCES
Getting to work in an accounting firm is very competitive. Having personal connections and a referral from an RWU alum gave me a leg up. I had two competitive offers ready for me to sign on before I finished RWU.
MICHELLE
Financial Services Office Business Consulting Staff at Ernst & Young in Boston, MA
Being involved on campus gave me the opportunity to meet different types of people and use different types of skills. From interacting with people while tutoring, to public speaking, to learning analytical skills within the Center for Advanced Financial Education, all of my experiences were very useful.
ASIA Associate Financial Analyst at Akamai Technologies Cambridge, MAWhen I moved to Boston from Haiti I had no idea I’d attend a four-year university and work at a public accounting firm. I worked hard, took every opportunity in school, and got offered a full-time position while I was a senior. It was a dream come true.

The RWU Difference
MANAGING REAL PORTFOLIOS
RWU students manage four real-dollar portfolios in the E. L. Wiegand Center for Advanced Financial Education (CAFE), a state-of-the-art trading room equipped with the latest software, large-screen TVs tuned to breaking financial news, Bloomberg technology, and an 8-foot, real-time stock ticker connected to global financial markets.
WORK IN A TRADING ROOM
The Robert F. Stoico/FIRSTFED Financial Services Center offers students the experience of working in a trading room with real-time data from financial markets around the world. Less than half of the nation’s AACSB-accredited business schools have this kind of facility, and the RWU center contains the most current technology available.
INTERNSHIPS
GSB students are guaranteed the opportunity to engage in at least one internship in a wide variety of industries, from the financial sector to sports management to digital media, with many of them paid. Gabelli is one of few business schools where students can earn credit for multiple internships, which gives our students exposure to the careers and industries they’re considering.
COMBINE YOUR PASSIONS
Over 80% of RWU students graduate with more than a single major. Create your powerful combination by choosing to double major or minor in areas such as Modern Languages, Dance, Public Health, Graphic Design, and more.
SUCCEED AT NATIONAL COMPETITIONS
Our students put their business strategies to the test and build real-world skills at prestigious regional and national advertising and analytics competitions. Our teams consistently place among the top teams in the region and the nation.
