MAJOR/PROGRAMS OF DISTINCTION Our hands-on approach to education thrives in each of our 50 majors. Check out some highlights of how below! (Marine Bio) Study oceanography, marine ecology, and so much more all while doing research work while at the undergraduate level! Our Marine Biology program is home to the state’s only shellfish hatchery and to an aquatic animal diagnostic laboratory, both ready for students to learn and make discoveries.

(Architecture) Students experience rigorous professional training in design, history, planning, and technology. Their creations are complimented by opportunities such as the ability to study Architecture in Europe and key critiquing from experienced professionals through RWU’s one-of-a-kind Teaching Firm in Residence Program.

(Engineering) Students get the chance to build their foundations in mathematics, science, and engineering before tailoring the program to their own specific needs and goals while using our newly constructed Engineering Labs facilities. With specializations in several different areas, students get to go down the path they are passionate about and if needed, can carve their own Engineering path.

(Business) Embark on a successful business career at the Mario J. Gabelli School of Business. Ranked top 5% of business schools worldwide accredited by AACSB International, students benefit from expert faculty engage students in a rigorous, hands-on curriculum. Students get the opportunity to invest real money and grow their investing skills firsthand.

(Criminal Justice) Combine courses in policing, corrections, and procedure with studies in the social sciences to introduce you to the theory and practice of criminal law and the moral complexity of the criminal justice system.

INTERNATIONAL SUPPORT PROGRAMS This first-year experience course for international students offers assistance and education in academic and social adjustment for international students to better connect with professors, classmates, and more. From international ambassadors mentoring you through your first year to academic support for your assignments, we are here to help and make the transition easier. (International Student & Scholar Services) The Office of International Student & Scholar Services welcomes you to Roger Williams University’s international community, which represents over 35 countries. We are here to support you with help from student services and academic departments across campus to ensure the success of international undergraduate, graduate, and laws students as well as visiting scholars. (English Language Learning) RWU offers several different admission options for you based on your abilities in English. We will even offer advanced tutoring options for students to assist with higher levels of English.

2021-2022 COST OF ATTENDANCE

(Scholarships) All students are automatically considered for merit-scholarships ranging from $10,000 to $23,000 per year. In addition, International Students benefit from our $1,500 RWU Travel Grant, a scholarship of $1,500 designed to assist with the cost of travel. ROGER WILLIAMS RANKS HIGHLY Even with the challenges of the pandemic, 94% of our 2020 graduates found success in employment or in graduate school within 6 months of their graduation (98% in 2019). 80% of our students graduate with more than a single minor and 100% of them gain real-world experience, giving them the skills employers are looking for. Graduates have gone on to work at companies like Amazon, Merrill Lynch, the New York Stock Exchange, General Motors and so many more!

The application process is remarkably simple: • Common Application • Current transcripts • Essay • One letter of recommendation • Documentation of financial support. RWU is SAT/ACT optional. We do not require a transcript evaluation for high school students but do ask for all transcripts to be submitted in English.

(Athletics) RWU Athletics has a total of 23 Division III varsity sports and 9 collegiate club sports for those looking for a less competitive space. The incredible Sailing facilities that have become a training home or the USA Sailing team as well as RWU’s nationally ranked sailing team!
