VPC Sanctuary organ and pianist Hyunmi Lee will be giving a recital featuring great works by some of your favorite composers.

Sunday, November 13, 4PM, Sanctuary The VPC Chancel Choir, Valley Singers, and full orchestra will present selections from Handel’s Messiah on the first half of the program. The second half will consist of fun arrangements of Christmas songs including Fum, Fum, Fum, Hark! the Herald Angels Sing, and Some Children See Him. AFRIZO ENSEMBLE FROM DAYSTAR UNIVERSITY Sunday, January 29 4PM, Sanctuary Come hear our own Valley Singer, Andrea Saul in recital. Just two days before Valentine’s Day, Andrea will sing sacred and secular songs about love. You’ll hear songs by Mozart, Faure, Vivaldi, and Bizet.
US NAVAL ACADEMY WOMEN’S GLEE CLUB
CHANCEL CHOIR PRESENTS MOSTLY MESSIAH Monday, December 12 7PM, Sanctuary Afrizo is a singing group from Daystar University in Kenya. Daystar is a Christian Liberal Arts College in Nairobi with a mission of training Christian servant leaders to transform Africa. Afrizo is a group of students who travel the U.S. every few years to raise scholarship money. They sing in English, Swahili, and African tribal languages, worshiping the Lord in a unique variety of languages and styles.

Without music, life is a journey through a desert. As a loving couple, Joy and Lan are enthusiastic to share their music with the community. Together they will perform various styles of music with exceptional expressions and dazzling techniques. Joy has served as the concertmaster for various orchestras, as well as appeared often as a concert soloist. Lan has been playing in the first violin section of the Phoenix Symphony since 2003.
The United States Naval Academy WOMEN’S GLEE CLUB was founded in 1976, when women first entered the Naval Academy. Under the direction of Dr. Cindy Bauchspies, the ensemble performs a diverse repertoire including classical, sacred, folk, patriotic, popular, and Broadway music. The Women’s Glee Club also performs masterpieces of choral-orchestral literature with the Naval Academy Men’s Glee Club.
LAN QUI & JOY PAN VIOLIN RECITAL Sunday, March 26 4PM, Sanctuary

Language Explored As a classical singer in the US, it is typical to sing in English, as well as in Italian, French, and German. In addition to these beautiful languages, this recital will explore lesser-performed but equally as gorgeous languages, such as Spanish, Russian, and Farsi (Persian). Enjoy a trip around the globe with a taste of music from many different countries.
The VPC Chancel Choir along with the Sanctuary Choir at Mt. View Presbyterian, will present Rutter’s Magnificat. The second half of the concert, you will enjoy other wonderful anthems written by Rutter. We will be joined by a wonderful full orchestra.
