What is a ministry brochure? A menu of events? A compendium of activities? A smorgasbord of groups? A reference booklet of ministries? This brochure is really an opportunity to find something God is doing at VPC to pray for in your daily devotion. It is a chance to try a new venture where your gifts might shine or your faith deepen. It is an invitation you may share with someone else to help them grow, serve, or connect. Read. Enjoy. Then be creative with the ways you use all the information you discuss about our events, activities, groups and ministries. God will call to you in the details and possibilities.

VPC is a place where your kids can feel safe and be themselves Safety

The safety of your children is of critical concern to us. As such, we require all Children’s & Student Ministry volunteers to complete various training programs and submit to a thorough background check. The VPC Protection Policy (vpc.church/children) outlines in detail the process in place to keep our kids safe.

Register

We also employ Simple Church Check-In, a computerized check-in system that adds an increased layer of safety and peace of mind. You can register quickly for this at one of our computer check-in stations on Sunday morning. We ask that each child under 18 years old register online to make sure VPC has all necessary information like emergency contact, dietary restrictions, and allergy concerns. Please feel free to get in touch with any Family Ministry staff if you have any questions!

Sunday Classes

Sundays, January 5-May 31, Room 409, 9AM These times allow us to grow deeper in faith through a stronger understanding of the Word of God. January 5-February 23: The Gospel of Luke We’ll walk with Jesus in his ministry as recounted by Luke, a journey of teaching, healing, leading, and ultimately, of sacrifice and redemption. We’ll use Bible Project and other videos to help better understand how the life and ministry of Jesus is as fresh and fascinating today as it was two thousand years ago. March 1-April 5: What Put Jesus on the Cross? Jesus was born to be the Lamb of God, but what events and factors actually led the Jewish and Roman leadership to seek and carry out his death? We’ll look at the historical clash that occurred when Jesus announced the coming of the Kingdom of God through Him, and not those in control of the Temple or the Jewish people. April 19-May 31: The Acts of the Apostles After Easter we continue to follow Luke in his account of the Acts of the Apostles as they set about carrying out the command of our Lord to go forth and make disciples of all nations. We’ll use Bible Project and other videos to help better understand the courage and efforts of those seeking to establish Christ’s ministry among all people.
