means to me Rachel and Karley at IF:Madison West

Saturday, February 29, 8:30AM-4:30PM Room 415-416, Cost: $30 Register: vpc.church/women Turn off all the noise, get into the Word, experience powerful teaching, dive into authentic conversations, worship Jesus, and hear stories that will compel you to take your next steps towards life and peace. The following is an excerpt from the February Valley Vine: Let me tell you about my first experience with IF:Gathering. My first IF:Local was in 2015 in Madison, WI. My roommate one of my closest friends, Rachel (pictured above, with me), invited me to IF:Local at our church, Blackhawk Church. I wasn't familiar with it, but I had recently decided to pursue a career in ministry. I didn't know IF:Gathering would play a large part in encouraging and validating that path. That IF:Gathering rocked my heart and brought me closer to God than I had ever been before. I knew God was leading me into ministry, but the thought of it evoked so much fear. One of the speakers, Australian author Christine Caine, founder of A21, who is on fire for the Lord, talked about fear and how fear stands no chance against God’s authority and truth. For the first time in my life, I literally (on the ground with tears in my eyes) laid everything at the feet of Jesus and entrusted God with my life. I didn’t know how He would use me or what I could do to make a difference in the Kingdom, but I knew I needed to trust Him for my future. I look back to my notes of Christine’s talk and can see what I wrote, “Everything I have is yours, God. I trust you. It came from you and now I bring it all back to you.” Since 2015 I have attended an IF:Local every year. I see my faith renewed and my hope furthered. I make new connections with women and feel encouraged to continue on the path that God has set before me. I leave feeling lifted up, blessed, and with a deeper connection with God. I hope and pray that this is your experience at IF: VPC! Want to read the rest of Karley's story? Check out the Valley Vine: vpc.church/vine.
