Ladies, ready for a good time?

Who We Are: Why VPC?

Choosing a church to call home is hard. Distance, background, relationship, music, and preaching, all combine to effect our decision to join a faith community. If you’ve found a church, how do you decide to join? What convicts you to get involved? If you’re already committed to the community, how do you tell others about the importance of being a part of a congregation? At VPC, we know that these questions can be challenging, but making the decision to join is important. Here are some of the reasons to consider becoming a part of a growing community of believers: Christianity is a team sport: Hebrews 12:1; Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 God could have created His church however He wanted, but chose one based on relationship because we are stronger together than we are individually. Making a commitment is powerful: Acts 2:47 Coming to a point of decision is an opportunity to look at the future through a new lens and see the possibilities God has before you. You become an advocate for something bigger than yourself: John 21:15 VPC’s mission of transforming lives, healing the broken in our city, and reaching our community for Jesus can become your mission as well. You are more than a consumer: 1 Corinthians 12:12 Our culture is defined by what you get and by what is new, but you are so much more than what you own! Sharing your gifts ties you to something timeless. Interested in learning more about your place at VPC? Check out the Inquirer Class information in the Focus.
