A huge success!

You are not alone!

Deacon Sunday Many thanks to all who have prayed for our Deacons in Action, or volunteered in so many ways to help the continuation of our Deacon Ministries. Without your generous financial support, our amazing care ministries could not function. Your gifts are most appreciated. Thank you again, Pastor David Turner

During VPC's Capital Campaign we'll take an excerpt from Pastor Joynt's daily devotional. It will be a call to action to listen, pray, or engage with A New Heart for the Valley. You can get your own daily devotional in each worship center or online: vpc.church/devotional. Devotional: A Pure Heart Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Purity of heart is far more than the capacity we can have to avoid certain kinds of bodily deeds or mental pollutions. It is less about avoiding thoughts and actions than it is about the ability to have a singular, overriding purpose, a driving direction which unifies your whole life. Soren Kierkegaard, Danish Christian philosopher, called it being able to “will one thing.”

Easter

God is at work at VPC, but we need your help to continue to be a place where Jesus Christ transforms lives. We need your help identifying leaders in our midst to help set the direction of the church in the coming years. Your All-Church Nominating Committee (ACNC) is eager to hear your nominations for Elder, Deacon, and Foundation Trustee. The ACNC is made up of two Elders, one Deacon, and four at-large members of the congregation elected at the Annual Meeting by the congregation. To accomplish our task, we need your help! Please take a few minutes and nominate someone and some information why they are good candidates. Nominate as many as you like; it is important we identify a good cross-section of our congregation. Give us names by filling out Called to Lead cards, email ACNC Chair Jim Gabler: jimgabler1@gmail.com, or submit online: vpc.church/lead.
