2018 St. Patrick Behavioral Health Interfaith Conference Connecting Our Community: Increasing Awareness & Sharing Behavioral Health Resources

Thursday, May 3, 7:30AM-3:30PM St Patrick Catholic Community Email to register: bhi@stpatcc.org Please join us for a wonderful day of networking and sessions on a variety of behavioral health topics, as well as lunch. Our Keynote address speaker will be Rev. Ron Friesen - Mental Health Care for Latinos in Arizona and plenary address by Dr. Shelly Reed - The Intersection of Faith and Mental Health.

During VPC's Capital Campaign we'll take an excerpt from Pastor Joynt's daily devotional. It will be a call to action to listen, pray, or engage with A New Heart for the Valley. You can get your own daily devotional in each worship center or online: vpc.church/devotional. Devotional: Honest Hearts Presence is powerful and hard to describe. A child cries until her dog comes alongside and nuzzles her. A teenager is heartbroken until his mother smiles with gentle reassurance. A player is scared until the coach’s confidence is communicated with a look or a word. The presence of Jesus was particularly powerful. Crowds parted for him, grieving parents became hopeful, raging storms went still. How different our lives would be if we learned to cultivate his presence! What peace and calm we would know. What does your presence communicate? Who can bring you peace?

Good people and good food

There are many ways to connect with people at VPC, but one of the most unique and long-lasting opportunities is Dinner for 8. Sign up (as a couple or single, doesn't matter), and you'll get paired up with other people from VPC. Each group meets four times a year, each time at a different house. Meals can be as simple or complicated as you like! This is a great way to really get to know some of the great people in our community. Typically, Dinner for 8 sign ups are in the fall, but we wanted to highlight the great program again to accommodate all the new people and families that have decided to call VPC their church home. If you missed signing up before, this is your chance as well. See you at dinner!

And we need your help! Sunday, May 6, 10:15AM

During Palm Sunday, VPC debuted the video for The Table, one of the songs from This Desert Home EP, a CD created using musicians from VPC. That video, along with lyric videos for all the songs is now live! It's inspiration for your week and to share with your friends.

After the 9AM worship service, meet the rest of the congregation out by the Sanctuary Fountain. We'll move everyone there into the shape of a heart and take a photo as a part of our celebration that morning.
