VPC News Thank you Pastor Kelsey Woodruff
Check out our book selections in the Summer Ministry Brochure Jesus desires you to be whole, in body, mind, and soul. At VPC, we know issues around mental health can be confusing, challenging, and may come with needless stigma. These are great books that will raise your awareness about mental health issues and how God cares about the whole person.
Care & Support
Each year, millions of Americans face the reality of living with a mental health condition; 1 in 5 U.S. adults will experience a mental health condition in their lifetime. Throughout May, NAMI and participants across the country are raising awareness for mental health. Each year, we fight stigma, provide support, educate the public and advocate for equal care. -See more at: nami.org/mentalhealthmonth VPC Mental Health Ministry contact Elizabeth Weiss: esweiss1231@gmail.com, 480-699-2982 24-hour Crisis Line: 602-222-9444

Who We Are: Worshiping as a Family
Calendar of Events
Worship is a skill that is caught not taught. Sticky Faith research shows participation in corporate worship, "is the closest thing to silver bullet for lifelong faith." But children can only learn how to worship if they experience it. At VPC, Family Worship Sundays intentionally help parents gradually introduce their children to worship as the get older.

Remembering our veterans
Service of
Families will have the opportunity to worship with their children three years old and up on May 28. Just like table manners at dinner aren’t learned overnight, neither is worship behavior. Coaching a child about how to participate in worship can be challenging, but can also be a very special time as you teach and model how to worship our great God. Summer is a time to enjoy worship more frequently with children 2nd grade and up. Family Worship is an important opportunity to teach the next generation what worship is all about! To learn more about children in worship, email Tina: tinag@vpc.church.
