VPC News

Congregational Meeting Sunday, May 14, 10AM, Sanctuary

From NAMI Each year, millions of Americans face the reality of living with a mental health condition; 1 in 5 U.S. adults will experience a mental health condition in their lifetime. However, everyone is affected or impacted by mental illness through friends and family. Throughout May, NAMI and participants across the country are raising awareness for mental health. Each year, we fight stigma, provide support, educate the public and advocate for equal care. -See more at: nami.org/mentalhealthmonth

Who We Are: Hosting our Mission Partners Why we are here

VPC is honored to have Daniel Moyo, Director of Education, Spiritual Development, and Volunteer Coordination at Ministry of Hope (MoH) in Malawi, Africa, with us today.

VPC is a community that believes God calls us to be in relationship. Sunday morning worship is a time to gather, connect, and give thanks to the Creator who loves us without end.

Daniel oversees 5,000 orphans through MoH. He ensures their health and wellness through feeding programs, education, Bible school, youth camps, health care, and farming techniques. He also oversees the 40-student Africa Bible College volunteer program.

Get connected at VPC Want to learn more about what’s going on at VPC? Grab a Ministry Brochure, go to the Welcome Center after worship or visit vpc.church for information about classes, events, opportunities to serve, and anything you see in the FOCUS.

Take a much needed break

Daniel grew up in a small village in the Mzuzu region of Malawi. He supported himself through primary school by making bricks and farming. At the age of 14, Daniel's mother died, and he felt hopeless. But in his first year of high school he was introduced to Jesus and his life forever changed. He felt hope for the first time. He completed his high school and college education and now shares the hope of Jesus Christ with others. He has been married to Rebecah and together they have a three year old daughter, Joannah. Daniel is on Session at his church and he coordinates twelve choirs for Sunday worship.
