Care & Support

vpc.church/anewheart A New Heart for the Valley has received $7,000,000 in commitments from 190 families! Thank you. If you would like to join the momentum with a financial commitment please mail your pledge form, place it in an offering basket during worship, or make a commitment online: vpc.church/anewheart. Pledges are payable over three years and help the building committee know how to budget for the construction process. More Frequently Asked Questions… What are the advantages of moving youth out of the basement and into the heart of campus? From a professional ministry perspective, locating the main youth space on the ground floor fits with our ministry goals: Easier access opens opportunities for engagement with parents and visiting families and promotes intergenerational connection; positioning youth in the heart of our campus next to our worship center indicates that they are a priority; windows provide safety and natural light; a space (with break out rooms) designed with youth activities in mind reduces the risk of injury and damage to exposed pipes and conduits hanging from the basement ceilings and walls.

The Hard Sayings of Jesus Part Two Devotionals available Learn more about these events inside the FOCUS:

In Sanctuary renderings, why are streamers hanging from the ceiling? It’s important to remember that renderings are meant to be an imaginative indication of what a space could look like and not a fixed determination of what will be. The fabric pieces in the renderings provide acoustical balance for the large room. They will likely be made of translucent material that hang only to the depth of the beams. In addition to their acoustical purpose, they will also help hide fire sprinklers (now required by building code) and, when desired, can enhance the aesthetic properties of the room by reflecting colored light (imagine red on Pentecost, purple during Advent, yellow for Easter). When complete, the Sanctuary will be reverent and demonstrative of God’s glory.

What an awesome time! Shipwrecked: VBS 2018

Thank you to everyone who helped make VBS a success. Over 220 kids were able to learn how Jesus is there for them!

Calendar of Events

A very VBS thank you! Thank you for the prayer, encouragement, volunteers, donations, and support that made VBS 2018 a resounding success! Over 220 kids heard the Good News that Jesus is for them and will rescue them. Check out photos on the VPC Facebook page: facebook.com/valleypresbyterian and Children's Ministry Instagram page: @vpcchildren.

The mission team will be making bricks and building bridges (literally, they are helping to build a bridge). The team will tour local schools and visit a crisis nursery. They will build roofs, lead a youth conference, and meet with leaders in the community to continue to express the support that VPC brings and will continue to bring to the people of Malawi. Please keep the team in your prayers prior to their departure, as they are in Malawi, and after their return on July 24. There is much work to be done for the people of Malawi, but their spirits are strong. Through your support, prayer, and encouragement, you are also a part of this trip!
