Day of Prayer September 10, 2017 During September 8-10, the National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention invites faith communities across the nation to pray for those whose lives have been touched by suicide. Many families at VPC have been faced with the devastating consequences of suicide? Join us as we pray for those who are hurting from loss or struggling with thoughts of suicide or hopelessness.

As a part of the immediate relief effort for those affected by Hurricane Harvey, VPC's Mission Team has donated $1,500 to Samaritan's Purse, a Christian relief organization. If you feel called to support relief efforts in the Gulf Coast area, please consider Samaritan's Purse: samaritanspurse.org/donate. VPC's second phase of assistance will be working with Presbyterian churches in the area to help rebuild their communities.

VPC Chancel Choir Rehearsals Resume Wednesdays starting, September 6 7:30-9PM, Choir Room Jennifer: jenniferh@vpc.church This is a great time to join VPC's Chancel Choir, we are seeking new members! The Chancel Choir sings weekly at the 9AM worship service. Come share your voice and love for fellowship and the Lord!

TIFFANY PONDELIK Valley Presbyterian Church loves music. From soaring vocals in the Chapel to the Sanctuary pipe organ's resonance to melodic driving acoustic guitar in the Landes Center, music is one of the primary ways we worship and glorify God. As the Fall begins, do you have a song in your heart that you long to share? The Chancel Choir begins rehearsals this week. Being a part of the Chancel Choir has been a blessing to Tiffany Pondelik, who grew up at VPC and has been singing all her life. This Sunday at 9 & 10:30AM worship we'll hear Tiffany talk about the importance of music as a part of her relationship with her church and Jesus Christ.
