The existing mountains, valley, river and roads naturally create spaces that divide the site into 6 zones, each with a distinct character. A central spine of modern commerce and historic tourism connects all zones. The spine brings the modern urban development into the valley as well as preserves and promotes the local history. Each district corresponds with existing historical or cultural area, and the linear division of districts provides easy solution for phasing.

The vast majority of The Find is literally, in ruins. As such, the research team had a monumental task in piecing together from various artifacts what the overall architectural style and themes were when this was a thriving community. Much could be learned from various dig sites, but one thing became quickly apparent: the style and design of virtually every structure in The Find had absolutely no precedence in the history of the world.

Inspired by the process of making building materials, the design tells a story. The material on each layer originates from the same source material—chunks of rocks that once were processed by the facility on site—emphasizing the concept of the transition from old to new, unrefined to polished, and ultimately chaos to order.

The primary architectural concept is to respectfully and graphically represent the transition from old to new. Supported by the base layer, the next layer above is a more refined version of the boulders; the materials on this layer have been shaped and cut to size, but still retain the character of rough, natural stone. The final layer - a floating geometric mass - is monolithic and pure, representing the highest level of refinement and polish that can be achieved using the same material as every other layer. respects the overall urplot and building they rely on each space, both unharmonious architecIsland design conarchitectural style adding a unique overall relatively plain the northern echoing with pagoda shape the Millennium Yang pagodas architect/master planner’s Longhu means the Lake of Dragons. Through the “twin dragons playing in the water” theme, It not only highlights the original dragon theme, but also immediately connects the six buildings into one organic form, turning the inner lake from a separator to a connector. The extensive dancing water curtains will become a major focused view of the inner lake. It is an in-depth interpretation of the overall design concept of “Inner Lake as the stage while buildings the stand” by the chief architect of Financial Island.

An intersection where three provinces: Anhui, Zhejiang, Fuzhou come together harmoniously to create a cohesive community. In close proximity are the three World Heritage Sites: Mount. Sanqingshan, Mount Guifeng, and Mount. Lingshan, and the largest lake of China: Lake Poyang.

Shangrao is also in between Yangtze River Delta Economic Zone, Haixi Economic Zone, and Poyang Lake Ecological Economic Zone. Three provinces, three renown mountains, and three economic zones together create a three-wing architectural language with lively movement that illustrates the spirit of this urban center.

Culture relics such as the “Lotus Crane Rectangular Pot” and the “Gu (goblet) unearthed in Zhengzhou are national treasures and the best embodiment of the Chinese culture both in form and spirit. The “Three Treasures” have given the urban community a deep cultural heritage. The main tower of Zhengzhou’s new landmark located on the main axis of the city represents the hometown of “HuangDi (the Yellow Emperor)” in its magnificent “Royal Style”. It signifies the important role of the Central Plains in the Chinese culture. It is the new totem of the Central Plains!

The Yellow River basin was the birthplace of ancient Chinese civilization, and it was the most prosperous region in early Chinese history. However, because of frequent devastating floods and course changes produced by the continual elevation of the river bed (due in part to manmade erosion upstream), sometimes above the level of its surrounding farm fields, it also has the names China’s Sorrow and Scourge of the Sons of Han.

Chinese dragons are strongly associated with water in popular belief. They are believed to be the rulers of moving bodies of water, such as waterfalls, rivers, or seas. Dragons have been depicted in Chinese art and Architecture for thousands of years. In this way, this design inspiration connects to the cultural history of Lanzhou, the Yellow River, and China.
