She also stressed that Rasool and Aziz must publically

declare that their close association with the opposition parties would not affect their performance as members of JIT. The Supreme Court should take notice of the leaking of JIT’s summon. She added that despite

Hussain Nawaz being a nonresident Pakistani, he appeared before the JIT even though he did not have to abide by the directives of JIT. Daniyal Aziz severely criticised the PIT chief Imran Khan and termed a proclaimed offender. He accused the Election Commission of Pakistan of being too lenient with Khan, saying that no action was taken against him for not appearing before it.—DNA

Australia will send an additional 30 troops to join the NATO-led training and assistance mission in Afghanistan, bringing its total deployment there to 300, Defense Minister Marise Payne said on Monday. NATO requested more troops last month as U.S. President Donald Trump considers whether to expand the operation by several thousand, 16 years into the seemingly intractable war against the Taliban and other Islamist militants. Australia is not a member of NATO but is a staunch U.S. ally and has had troops in Afghanistan since 2002.

Tobacco use impoverishes families, national economies: Dr Sohail ISLAMABAD—Consultant P ul monologist Shifa I nt e r n a t io n a l Ho s pit a l (SIH) Dr. Sohail Naseem on Wednesday said that tobacco use brings suffering, disease, and death, impoverishing families and national economies. “It is a threat to any person, regardless of gender, age, race, cultural or educational background,” he said during an awareness campaign among patients and general public organized by Shifa International Hospital (SIH) Islamabad to mark World No Tobacco day.

The campaign was organized to highlight the health risks associated with tobacco use and advocating for effective policies to reduce tobacco consumption. More than 7 million deaths from tobacco use every year, a figure that is predicted to grow to more than 8 million a year by 2030 without intensified action. In this regard information stalls were placed in Shifa Hospital, where all kind of information literature related to the Tobacco use and its effects was available

including Broachers, Flyers, Pamphlets and Booklets. Large number of people from twin cities joined the campaign, and found the campaign material informative and helpful in avoiding

Putin, Saudi’s deputy crown prince, discuss oil, Syria

Russia and Saudi Arabia hailed their growing partnership in oil markets and dialogue on Syria on Tuesday, in a departure from past hostilities between the top global producers and major players in the Middle East. Russian President Vladimir Putin heaped praise on De put y Crow n P r i nce Mohammed bin Salman, who looks after the kingdom’s defense and energy, as he welcomed the possible future king to the Kremlin. It was the second meeting between the two men over the past year following a breakthrough meeting in China, where Putin and

Prince Mohammed showed the first signs the world’s two biggest oil exporters could clinch a deal to prop up oil prices. Non-OPEC Russia had long opposed any cooperation in reducing oil output in tandem with OPEC, where Saudi Arabia is de facto leader. Russia’s military campaign in Syria to support President Bashar al-Assad in the past two years has effectively pitted the Kremlin in a direct military confrontation with Saudi Arabia as the Sunni kingdom has long fought for Assad’s removal. But the oil price plunge in

the last two years has overstretched the budgets of both producers, making joint cuts more likely, especially with Russia facing a presidential election next year and Saudi Arabia requiring higher prices for economic reforms and the listing of its energy giant Aramco. “The relations between Saudi Arabia and Russia are going through one of their best moments ever,” Prince Mohammed told Putin. “We have a lot of common ground. As far as our disagreements are concerned, we have a clear mechanism of how to overcome them. We are moving forward quickly and in a positive way,” he added. “The most important thing is that we are succeeding in building a solid foundation to stabilize oil markets and energy prices,” Prince Mohammed said. Last December, Russia and 10 other non-OPEC nations agreed to join OPEC’s output cuts for the first time in 15 years. Last week Moscow agreed to extend its cooperation by another nine months until March 2018.

Both Moscow and Riyadh said that cooperation would last beyond the current agreement as both countries are still trying to find ways to co-exist with U.S. shale oil producers, who are not part of the global output reduction deals. As a part of Tuesday’s talks, the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia signed a memorandum of understanding with the Russian Direct Investment Fund to explore an opportunity to join a consortium of investors in a Moscow real estate project. The Russian fund also said in statement both parties are evaluating more projects, including in retail, real estate, alternative energy projects, transportation and logistics infrastructure. “We are grateful to you for your ideas and the joint work between OPEC and the countries which are not part of the cartel,” Putin told Prince Mohammed. “We support political contacts, contacts between defense ministries. We work together on sorting out difficult situations, including in Syria,” Putin said.

accompanied by musculoskeletal pain and symptoms of fatigue, trouble sleeping, and problems with memory and mood. RA and the immune system A normally functioning immune system can tell the difference between “attackers,” such as germs or viruses, and healthy cells. When the body is attacked by illness, the immune system fights back. But when autoimmune dysfunction occurs, the immune system mistakes healthy cells for invaders, and attacks them instead. In someone with RA, this causes inflammation of the tissue around the joints. RA can also affect the eyes, lungs, skin, and heart. Inflammation is a normal part of the immune response. However, inflammation from RA is part of the problem. It causes considerable pain, damage to joints, and reduced mobility. The same substances that cause inflammation of the joints can also cause a fever. While inflammation of the joints can be severe enough to cause a fever, it is important to remember that an infection is a real possibility. RA also causes an increase in metabolic rate, which can also result in a fever. Normal body temperature ranges from 97°F to 99°F. Fevers under 101°F are not considered serious in adults and are also not uncommon in RA patients. RA medications Medicines that suppress the immune system, also called immunosuppressants, are often used to treat RA. This means that the immune system in an RA patient might not respond effectively to a virus or bacterial infection. Additional illnesses can cause serious complications for RA patients. Rheumatic fever Rheumatic fever is a serious illness that occurs mostly in children who have recently experienced strep throat. It has similarities to the early symptoms of RA, but is not related to RA. Rheumatic fever affects joints. But unlike RA, rheumatic fever only lasts a few weeks. It can affect any single joint, and often the same joint on the other side of the body. Diagnosing RA fever So how can you tell if your fever is caused by RA? The first step is to determine if you’ve been diagnosed with RA. If so, a fever under 101°F may indicate fever caused by RA. However, your doctor also needs to determine that you have: In case of RA fever, you should: -Drink plenty of fluids. -Keep warm if you’re experiencing chills. -Remove extra layers of clothing and try to keep cool if you’re hot and sweating. If your fever rises above 101°F, contact a doctor so that the underlying cause can be determined. If you have RA, make sure to tell your doctor. Be prepared to tell them what medicines you’re using for RA treatment. Low-grade fever is an expected part of having RA. It’s usually caused by the inflammation of the joints, or by an improperly working immune system. Contact a doctor in case of fever over 101°F. A fever could indicate an underlying viral or bacterial infection that the immune system has not responded to due to an immunosuppressant.
