MINISTRY OF IT TO ESTABLISH INCUBATION CENTER AT KARACHI SOON: ANUSHA Minister of State for IT Anusha Rehman on Tuesday said that the Ministry of IT is going to establish an incubation center at Karachi soon and contract has been awarded to the successful bidders through ICT Research and Development Fund Company’s Board recently. “Through this initiative, young IT graduates of Rural and urban Sindh will have a golden opportunity to get appropriate training to become successful entrepreneurs,” she said while talking to Governor Sindh Muhammad Zubair who called on her in Islamabad today. Many issues of mutual interest pertaining to IT and Telecom development were discussed in the meeting. Anusha Rehman informed the governor Sindh that, “Ministry of information technology is rigorously pursuing the Prime Minister’s Agenda of ‘Digital Pakistan’ in true letter and spirit.” PTI REQUESTS SUPREME COURT TO FOR M COM M ISSION T O P R O B E PA R T Y FUNDS CASE Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Tuesday requested the Supreme Court to form a commission to probe the party’s funding case. During hearing of the case, PTI lawyer Anwar Mansoor arg ued that Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is neither tribunal nor a court to determine collection of funds through prohibited means. “We suggest formation of a commission to probe the matter,” he added. Meanwhile, Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar hinted that, “The case can be referred to ECP but the apex court will have to look into the matter as per law.” “We ca n not ha nd over responsibility to any institution by clipping its powers,” the CJP stated. Indian claims of destroying Pakistani borders post are false, DG ISPR Pakistan Army on Tuesday denied claims by the Indian Army that the latter had carried out an ‘operation’ on Pakistani posts along the Line of Control (LoC). “Indian claims of destroying Pakistani post along LoC in Naushera Sector and firing by Pakistan Army on civilians across LoC are false,” InterServices Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor mentioned in a tweet.

AIIB to incorporate new members to deliver more dividends to regional countries: China

BEIJING, 23 MAY (DNA) China on Tuesday announced that the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) under an expansion plan would incor porate more countries as its members to deliver more dividends to the regional countries.

Pakistan wants to take its relations with Saudi Arabia to new heights: PM Nawaz Sharif

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has left for home after a threeday visit to Saudi Arabia. He was seen off by Governor Madina Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz at Prince Muhammad bin Abdul Aziz International Airport Madina. In his interaction with the governor, Nawaz Sharif said relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are time tested and they have grown with passage of time. He said we highly value our relations with the Kingdom. He said Pakistan wants to take its relations with Saudi Arabia to new heights. The Governor said, his country highly regards the friendship with Pakistan. It is a brotherly country with religious background.

The governor also appreciated Pakistan’s role in fight against terrorism. During his stay in Medina, the Prime Minister also paid respect at Masjid-eNabvi. He offered Nawafil at Riaz ul Jannah and prayed for the progress and prosperity of

Pakistan and the entire Muslim Ummah. Earlier in Riyadh, the Prime Minister on the special invitation of Saudi King also attended US-Arab-Islamic Summit.

No hidden agreements in CPEC: Ahsan LA HOR E - Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has said that there are no hidden agreements in China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Talking to a private TV channel, he insisted that, “Everything was kept transparent in agreement with the neighbouring state.” The minister claimed that, “Credible business-related institutions worldwide have expressed conf idence in Pakistan’s steady economic growth. Nothing has been kept

secret in CPEC.” He called CPEC ‘a supernatural gift’ for Pakistan while saying that, “Pakistan’s economic growth was on the decline when Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had come into power.” He claimed, “Duration of power outages has lessened in Nawaz government which used to be 18 to 20 hours every day earlier.” He said, “10, 000 megawatt power projects have been launched under CPEC to end load shedding which would

bring economic revolution in the country.” He said, “Due to concrete measures of the gover nment, the national economy is improving and strengthening day by day. We’re trying to control the electricity crisis as energy-related projects are under-construction.” Ahsan Iqbal went on to discuss the situation of budget 2017-18. He told, “PML-N government will not increase debts and leave burden of deficit in election year budget as done by previous regimes.”
