There is still a vacancy in both the Wholesaler/Manufacturer/Printer and Retailer/Decorator categories for which the committee will be looking to co-opt some willing members. Your committee, for which there are still places available to sit on for any of you who would like to get involved with the running of your association, have been working hard again to put together the 2015 NABAS Show, with innovative seminars for the benefit of building your business's and improving your skills in our industry. As many of you have diversified into other areas of our industry, enabling you to offer your clients more than your competition, as well as having new members from other associations joining us, we are now introducing you all to our new logo (see opposite). We hope you like it and welcome your comments. We think it's a great improvement. We have a new NABAS Approved Teacher on board, her name is Angie George and she currently teaches at Capel Manor College of Floristry. On the NMBA qualification courses, we had hoped to start them by the end of June but with so many unexpected situations that the committee had to deal with, one of them being the balloon release problem where environmentalist's were accusing us of killing wildlife, has put a delay on it. For those of you who were keen to get going on it, I apologise. We are now working on the first one and will let you all know within the next few weeks, which, when and where. Stay busy! Caryn Steele of Balloonatics created these colourful columns and arch for a client celebrating 50 years in business so the theme was 60’s
Annabel Grange of Butterflies & Bows created these for different events this year.
Some wonderful creations from Sandra of Final Touch: A Balloon Female Rugby Player that she made for the local ladies team who were playing to raise money for Breast Cancer ~ hence the "pink" The balloon pink plane was made for the wedding of two pilots getting married!
Very popular at the moment is anything to do with the latest Disney film “Frozen” - the décor below was created by Amy at Kreative Celebrations
Roslyn Gaunt, Abracadabra balloons - The arch was for a surprise proposal in Manchester. And the multi-coloured balloons was for the launch of a fancy dress company in a well known supermarket.
Matt Dawson of The Balloon Room created this large scale balloon dĂŠcor for the Grande Depart as part of the Tour De France. This was also featured on Eurosport
